"This life will go by in the blink of an eye, But I wouldn't wanna spend it without you by my side (...) And we'll build this love from the ground up. Now 'til forever it's all of me, all of you, just take my hand."

"Hi Mrs. Pinnock, can Leigh-Anne come out to play?" Harry asked, hopping a little, as he waited for Leigh-Anne's big bouncy curls to come though her front door.

"Hey Haz!" she shouted, pulling him into a hug, she hadn't seen him all summer. "How was your holiday?" she asked, closing the door behind them and trotting down the stairs of her home, headed to the one place they knew like the back of their hands. They were going to their usual spot, finally getting to talk about how finally getting out of primary school was gonna feel. The two had always been inseparable, never one without the other.

The swing set had been their one place to get away from the mess of their lives, where they could vent about their parents and how unreasonable they thought rules were. They're were best friends. Many of times the two would sneak away to this spot and talk for hours, whatever pre-teens talked about. Crushes, school assignments stuff like that. Harry never liked the crush topic though, because his crush was always Leigh-Anne, though she seemed to always like one of the boys from her class that year, which never lasted that long, which was why Harry was never super jealous. He knew where heard Leigh-Anne stood.

"Are you nervous? About being in secondary school?" Harry asked her, as they swag on the old, rusty swing set as they did pretty much everyday. Leigh-Anne frowned a bit, she didn't really know how to feel about starting a new, with older kids everywhere and probably mean teachers or something. "Yeah kinda, I guess." She sighed, looking over at him, he smiled at her warmly "But you'll have me, so I think it'll be great."

Leigh-Anne scrabbled as she grabbed her backpack from her locker, who knew grade 9 would be this crazy. So many new classrooms, new people, new things to learn. She picked up her pace, trying to make it to class on time and save Harry's seat if he hadn't made it first and saved hers already.

Walking into class, spotting Harry, with his backpack covering a seat right next to him pulled a smile onto Leigh-Anne's face. "Thank you, H." She whispers, picking up his belongings and setting them next to him. "Course babe," he replied, adding a kiss to her cheek. She couldn't help but feel her cheeks burn at the contact, her feelings towards Harry had changed so much since then.

Things had taken a dramatic turn in the last 2 years, they were in the first year of "high school" and dating. It was bound to happen between the two, even their families knew it would. They had been inseparable for years, them being an item was just the icing on their cake. She smiled, settling in her seat, pulling out her supplies and getting ready for class to begin.

The two of them still went to the swing set whenever they could and swag, sometimes kissed, but mostly laughed as they always did. "Harry can you push me, not to hard though," Leigh-Anne smiled, as she watched his y'all frame stand from his own swing and step behind her, pushing her just enough to get her motion started again.

Between being in high school and hormones, the two had plenty of fights and "break ups". Multiple people trying to tear apart what the two shared due to jealousy but they sure did hang on. Harry never let Leigh go for a second, even through the "break-ups" he was still there for her as a friend, which saved them in the long run. With graduation and college fast approaching the two found it hard to juggle all of the things at once which let to more fights and the dreaded "break-ups" they stuck it out though, for each other and for the sake of love.
