Song: Girl Crush - Little Big Town (Harry Styles cover)

"I want her long blonde hair, I want her magic touch, yeah, cuz maybe then you'd want me just as much. I got a girl crush."

3rd Person:

She couldn't help but dip lower in her seat, her heart just happened to be crushing within her chest. She could feel the tears burning behind her eyes like lava as she watched Harry, her best friend and love of her life (though he didn't really know), get down on his knee in front of the same girl that had been keeping Leigh and Harry apart for as long as she can remember.

She hummed a bit as everyone cheered. Slowly sliding out of her chair, she walked passed the group of people, fighting the tears for until she was further away. "This was supposed to be Harry birthday party." She mumbled, stumbling through the crowded hall, she was almost to the door, two steps closer to letting the scorching tears fall freely onto her tan cheeks.

She didn't hate Taylor, how could she? Taylor had done nothing. This was Leigh-Anne's fault, and no one else's. That's why she was so upset, and so hurt and broken. That's why she couldn't be angry with Harry for being madly in love with a perfectly wonderful woman who loved him, but Leigh wanted that to be her. She wanted to be the one putting that beautiful, dimple pressing smile on his face. Maybe she did, in a different way though.

*flashback*

5 years ago:

Leigh-Anne's locker was slammed shut, by someone that was not herself. She flinched, her eyes searched around her until she met a pair of vibrant green ones. A smile crawled onto her lips as she recognized the orbs. "Dick." She mumbled still smiling as she tossed her backpack that was full of books further on her back.

"The honor roll student has to keep up with her grades I see." Harry teased, leaning into the lockers. Leigh rolled her eyes, she hated when he made fun of her being smart. He happened to be one of the most popular guys in school, and it seemed as if them being friends was impossible, but they had known each other since birth. "At least I have a better chance of getting a free ride to college." She teased back, turning her back to him, beginning to strut off.

"Leigh-Anne wait!" He laughed chasing after her, finally grabbing her arm and pulling her back to a section where their wasn't too many people. "I have good news." He added, feeling butterflies clouding his thoughts. Leigh had already known what he was going to say. Something about how Taylor said she loved him a few days ago or Taylor finally met his mom and she loved her blah, blah, blah.

"Let me guess, Taylor did something so cute and you just can't help but tell me all about it." She mumbled rolling her eyes. "Heeeeeey." He grumbled, eyebrows frowning a little. "What's your problem, Leigh? You've been acting so weird lately." He sounded concerned honestly, but Leigh-Anne didn't want him to baby her.

"Nothing H, I'm just....stressed I guess." Her heart stung as she lied through her teeth for the thousandth time probably. She loved Harry, so much so that her heart ached when she looked at his face and his smile and heard his laugh. "We're seniors now and it's just getting to me I guess." She lies again, she had already chosen her college and what her major was, she was passing all her classes with A's, she has no reason to be stressed and Harry knew that. "Why do you keep lying to me? What did I do?" He whispered, feeling hurt by his best friend's so called white lies.

Leigh was shocked for a second, he knew her so well. "I'm not, I just-" — "Fine, don't tell me." And with that he took off down the hallway, legs carrying him further and further away from Leigh-Anne. She called out for him, but he ignored her. She sighed, looking down at her feet feeling her eyes burn, as they always did when she lied to Harry, but with a sniff she was off to class with her backpack held tightly in her grasp.
