'We've got a bit of late hate.'

Carter

The sound of my alarm went off, forcing me to get out of bed and get ready for school. I groaned and switched off the alarm before getting out of bed. I went into my bathroom and took the drugs I was prescribed with. I walked to my wardrobe and picked out what I was going to wear.

I chose to wear something casual but smarter than a loose t-shirt and leggings like I wore yesterday. I chose: a white crop top witch black, denim shorts and my white converse. I took a quick shower before putting my outfit on and then brushed my hair, before putting my beanie on my head.

I grabbed my phone, before running downstairs. "Morning dad." I said, as I walked into the kitchen. "Morning love, mum told me you had a good day yesterday?" Dad asked, putting his newspaper down.

"It was okay, I never said it was good."

"Whatever you say love. She also said you have a new friend." He smirked.

"Well he's not really my friend. We've been assigned this project together in English literature."

"HE?" My dad asked surprised.

"Yeeeaahhh, anyway, I've got to go tell mum I said hi." I said, taking an apple and walking out the door. Thank God I didn't have to talk to my dad about Harry. He would probably start asking embarrassing questions and I would rather not have to witness that.

I got into my car and drove to school. It was strange because I was actually looking forward to see Harry at school. Maybe it was the fact that he was witty and funny and I liked that in a person. As I pulled into the school car park I immediately saw Harry and his friends hanging by his black range rover, as usual.

Don't look at him Carter, pretend you don't see him. I thought. Wait why do I care if he sees me or not? I slung my back over my shoulder and walked across the car park to get to the front of the school. "Hey Carter!" I heard Harry's familiar voice, yell from behind me. I turned around and saw him walking towards me.

"Hi Harry." I smiled.

"You seem in a better mood than yesterday." He grinned.

"Do I?" For some reason, I felt better as well. Yesterday, I thought this school would be hell. But I was enjoying it and I think it has something to do with Harry but I'll leave that debate for later and just bask in the feeling of feeling happy, which I haven't felt in a long time.

"Yes. So are you coming to my place tonight for the project?"

"Yeah, I did say I was going to didn't I?" I rolled my eyes.

"There's the sarcastic Carter I met yesterday." He said pushing me gently.

"She never left Harry."

"Good. Now can I walk you to class?" He asks putting out his hand for me to grab. I hesitantly put my hand into his and we walked to form class. I sat in the spot I was in yesterday and Harry went to sit at his desk, next to Peyton. She probably saw me and Harry walk into class together because as soon as Harry sat down, she pulled him into a heated kiss.

Please give me a minute so I can throw up out of this window.

Once form time was over I went to my first class. Algebra.

Those were the most three longest hours of my life. I can't believe it's only lunch, I feel like I've been here for days! I went into the canteen and brought my lunch from the school buffet. I searched around for a place to sit. "Hey, why don't you come and sit with us?" I turned around and saw Harry standing there smiling.
