Chapter Forty Four 'Shopping Trip'

Ember's POV
After our shower Mr J had went into his office to sort some 'business' out and I was sat lounging about on my bed, wearing my favourite onesie.

I was in the middle of playing Soda Crush when the door bell started ringing. Thinking that one of the men would answer it, I ignored it and went back to my game. After a few minutes the door bell was still ringing and realising no one was going to answer it, I let out a groan, releasing myself from Sloth mode and made my way out the bedroom.

Slumping down the stairs I made my way slowly to the ringing door.
'Alright stop ringing the god damn bell! I'm coming!' I moaned out feeling a headache come on.
Grabbing the handle I swung the door open ready to confront who ever was there.
'Seriously! There's no need......ABBY!' I yelled surprised to see my best friend at the door.

Pulling her into the house I wrapped her in a bear hug, jumping excitedly.
'What are you doing here and looking all cute! Are you trying to seduce me?' I asked jokingly raising my eyebrow.
'Always! I just can't get enough! On a serious note I'm here for our shopping trip so go get dressed' she ordered playfully.
'Yayyy! Give me a few minutes!' I smiled hugging her once more before bounding up the stairs.
Reaching the top of the stairs I started walking towards Mr J's office. I was obviously going to need his permission to go shopping.
'Daddy' I whispered knocking on the door while entering anyway.
I smiled as he looked up from his papers to stare at me intently.
'Erm Abby's here....' but before I could continue I was cut off.
'I know little doll' he smirked.
'You do! Does that mean I can go!' I grinned hopefully.
'I suppose' he sighed rolling his eyes.
'YESSSS! THANK YOU, THANK YOU !' I cheered out skipping over to his desk.
Leaning over I grabbed his face and pulled him into an overdramatic kiss.
'I love you!' I announced kissing him again.
'Go get changed little doll before I change my mind!' He grunted trying to hide his smile at my show of affection.
'Ok sorry daddy!' And with that I excitedly ran out the room and into mine to get ready.
'I'm going on an adventure! I'm getting out this house! I'm going on an adventure!' I sang while going through my clothes.

Abby's POV
I stayed stood at the entrance nervously. This was Jokers house and I didn't dare move. Yes I had been here before but that was when I'd been shot and wasn't in the right frame of mind.
'Surely Johnny is here somewhere!' I thought glancing around for my man.
'Barbie' I heard a voice sneer.
Looking up I saw Joker stood at the top of the stairs before he purposely slowly made his way down. This man was everything I feared all wrapped in one and I hated being in his presence. My palms began to get really sweaty the closer he got and I just wanted to run but I was here for Ember.
'Mr J' I whispered in greeting as he stood in front of me.
Now normally when someone stands in front of you there's some space in between you but with The Joker no, the space didn't exist.
'Listen here barbie!' Yyyou are here because you make my pppprecious little doll happy BUT if anything happens to her I'll kill you! Do you understand?!'  He snarled out but never lost his terrifying grin.
