Lachie driving the Camaro, Jase riding shotgun, and me the left back seat. We drive in silence, only the hum of the Camaro's engine breaking the quiet. We pass the Great Forest left to me. It protects us from the Humans with a powerful spell that one of the twelve council members created.

Looking back at my history lessons, I shockingly remember his name in one of the few history lessons; I listened to. Archard Diamont is his name. Weird name, yes. Most powerful Evo is known to us, sure is. His name even means powerful and strong, Archard: powerful and Diamont: strong, strangely enough.

He is the leader of the council and overlord of our haven. People who say that he is an archangel who came down from heaven. Some rumours even say that he has wings, as black as charcoal, 3 metres on either side of his body. I highly doubt this is true, but who knows. Maybe he does everyone doesn't have the same power or abilities.

What is strange about Archard Diamont is that few have ever seen him, and if you do, you will either become a person of rank or a person who just became insignificant lowlife, a Rogue. Personally, I would rather go with the first option, but I highly doubt anyone else would want to choose the second choice. What we do know is that he started gathering as many of us together to protect us from The Humans. In the short amount of time, he was able only to gather 50,000 of us, in Jacksonville.

Each person had to demonstrate that they had some power. If it were productive, useful in protecting, providing or caring for Jacksonville, or the triplePC they would be accepted. If their powers did not live up to the standards of the triplePC, they would be declined. Very few were rejected, and if they were they would be killed, a quick and painless death, by one of the protectors, I don't agree that they should die just for trying to come to a safe place, but using the Council's quote.

-Only The Strongest Will Survive.-

After two months, The Protectors, weary from their efforts to remove any Humans and keep out any of the Humans Hunters to take over Jacksonville while we were in a vulnerable position, begged Archard to cast a powerful enchantment to safeguard Jacksonville. Keeping the mortals out, and the supernatural free to come and go as they please.

Archard, acknowledging that everyone could not keep living in fear and fatigue lives they lived presently went and talked to The Council, they instantly gave him their approval, helping The Protectors and newly appointed citizens, settle into their new homes, drained them of their sleep, weakening their supernatural powers.

The social ranking system is vital in Jacksonville. There are eight social statuses in Jacksonville. I'm hoping to become a Protector, yes I aim high, but that's because I want to explore the world and be free of this barrier, I want to know if Humans are like what they everyone says. If they are just useless beings, that only cause destruction, or people who are like us, just not evolved.

1: Position in the Council{Becoming one with the 12, is the most challenging prospects in this life, To become one of the Council, one of them must either, die or step down from their position. The decision makers in Jacksonville.
