Not So Innocent

Ch.4

The light outside wasn't as bright but it was a beautiful glow that showed upon our light skin.
Javon and i where walking down 6 or 7 blocks to my apartment catching all green and red lights.
"Why you even with him? I know you know happy. Your clearly happy with me, everything we do, all we been through and you know I don't like him."
I looked at him and he just looked ahead.
"I just don't get it, your clearly unhappy and you know how he treats you and i know also. He's an asshole."
I looked down and pressed up against his arm.
"Im with him, honestly, because he was there when you wasn't. I don't love him and you know that, but you still tend to think he's what i want. He's not, but then you on the other hand i cant trust, you say your changed but you sneaky."
I cant tell he glanced at me , but as soon as he opened his mouth we was at my door step.
When I walked up the 3 cream colored stairs he grabbed my arm.
"Just dump him, for me."
The look in his eyes were so sorrow and so hurt, I couldn't do anything else but look aways, stopping me from crying.
He looked down and let go of my arm and walked ahead of me, taking the keys out of my hand.
"I will."
I said loud enough from him to hear. He smile showing his bright white smile, turning around.
"Now come on, lets make an entrance."
I laughed and shook my head as Javon unlocked the door, revealing my upset father and mother, along with my uncles, aunts, and cousins in the background.
"Who is this young man???"
Asked my father sternly.
"Oh honey is this Javon??? Oh come in, come in."
"Dad this is Javon Diaz, he is my boy best friend. You met him when we was in 8th grade. He wanted to meet the family.
My mother took Javon to the crowd of family as I spoke to my father privately.
I looked at Javon for a split second to see him laughing and smiling making amends with my family.
"Monica listen to me, i put up with ya boyfriend, I'm not bout to put up with his nappyhead ass l boy. And was he the one on the phone? I thought you went out to eat and by your school."
"I did go out to eat and i seen Javon along the way and we chilled at his house and he fell asleep."
I looked deeply in my fathers eyes.
"Daddy please, you'll like him I promise."
He smiled and pulled me into a big hug we walked towards the family and all hung out.
"So Javon, tell me about yourself." Said my father, I asked him to trust me and he did.
"Well sir, i work for a foot locker downtown, i pay the bills for my sick mother which she cant attend too, i go to school down near Rutgers campus and i have a my own website for young photographers who doesn't have the money for their own set up. Tell me about yourself sir."
I was shocked, he was so well mannered and well put together. It was sexy.
"Well I'm a full time father and a full time retailer and tax accountant, i work two jobs to support my family and i like your way of living kid."
Javon smiled which made me look down.
"Now what is there do you like about my daughter?"
That question snapped me out of my zone and Javon made this stupid face like he wanted to say something sexual.
"That's enough. Let's take the kids and go in my room" i said picking up one of my cousins.
My father laughed and nodding. Javon picked up to of my other cousins as we walked down the hall into my bedroom.
As soon as we walked in my room the kids sat on the floor and began watching tv aka Spongebob.
I laid on my bed and Javon sat next to me. I placed my hands on my face and Javon rubbed my leg.
"Why didnt you let me answer the question?"
"Because i know you, when you make that face you wanna say something disrespectful and i hate that face you make."
Javon laid up next to me and cuddled with me as i played in his hair.
I heard a slight snore as he was laying on me.
Since he was sleep I figured ill go to sleep also.
