I look up slowly as I feel the tears flowing over my cheeks. What have I done? I promised everyone not to. Everybody thought I was clean, thought that I was fine again. But they never look any further than my wrists. Sometimes someone asks: “how are you?”. The only thing I can think of to say then is: “fine”. But of course they notice something is wrong, so they ask: “what’s wrong?”. And it’s always the same answer: “nothing, just tired.” What if someone would just ask: “tired of what?” It would make such a difference. Just to know that somebody actually cares. But no time to think of that now! I look around my room to check everything. Are my goodbye notes laying down? Did I send the song? Is everything done? I wouldn’t have much longer and the headache is only getting worse. I hear my stomach making weird sounds and look at my wrists who are almost unrecognizable because of the deep red liquid that tickles down my skin. Now it’s just time to wait…
I hear my phone vibrating. I’m not sure if someone is calling me, or that I was receiving a thousand messages. I look up but there’s no one calling. Looks like Lynn received my message… Well there’s no time to read them all now. It’s will only take a few more minutes and then this hell will be over forever. I look at the clock, 22:38, that means I’m waiting for about 11 minutes now. I lay down since the headache is only getting worse and I’m starting to feel a little dizzy. My view starts to blur and my thoughts begin to fade. This was it, goodbye world. Right at the moment I want to close my eyes my door flies open and my father and Lynn are storming into my room.
I hear sirens coming from the distance. My father lifts me up and takes me downstairs. I can’t counter against it because I’m too weak. I see a women in a fluorescent yellow jacket coming at me. I can hear her say something but don’t understand what she is saying. I’m getting placed on a stretcher and then everything fades into a black mess.
