Lucy and Natsu were on their way home after having a night to themselves, as levy offered to babysit for them. The sky was a purplish black with millions of twinkling stars light years away.
They walked down the familiar streets of Mangolia, trying to dodge the many puddles caused by the resent rain storm. The splattered rain water reflected the moonlight back into the air, as if to help it return home. The couples footsteps could be heard echoing throughout the alleyways.
They was a sudden shiver down Lucy's spine, making her feel unsure about their choice to take the short cut. With paranoia in toll, Lucy was constantly looking behind them and trying to speed up Natsu so they can get home quicker.
"Lucy? Are you ok?" The worried Natsu asked, tightening his grip on the terrified girls hand as a sense of safety.
"I feel like someone is following us." Lucy hinted towards her bad feeling.
"Hey who would be out this late anyway?" Natsu tried to lighten the mood.
"Us" Lucy pointed out.
"Touché, my darling Lucy. Touché."
She cracked a slight smile.
As they continue to walk down the now almost black alley, Lucy couldn't help but feel the paranoia build up again.
Behind them there was the sound of heavy footsteps in the tiny puddles on the ground.
"Please say you heard that Natsu?" Lucy violently whispered.
"I did. Stay close." With that Lucy pushed herself closer into Natsu's hip.
Slowly Lucy turned her head to see the person behind and all she saw was the all too familiar, torn, red cloak belonging to her ex-kidnapper, Dexter.
"Natsu. It's him!" She squeaked.
"What?" He asked.
"It's the guy who kidnapped me!" Now Lucy was starting to panic and all Natsu can do now is protect her from her nightmares.
The dragon slayer stood dead in his tracks and slowly turned around to face the man who dared to hurt his Lucy.
The tall man, with his cloak clinging onto him with dear life, stood right in front of the two.
"Princess. You do know it's not polite to run away from someone who loves you." Dexter cackled.
"You do know it's not polite to kidnap someone!" Natsu snapped back.
"Well sorry to cut this short but I didn't come her for a chat I came here for my princess."
"Well you can't because she belongs to me."
"In not taking no for an answer!"
