Yuuri lay in bed, staring blankly as his alarm went off. He gently turned it off, sitting up. He rubbed his eyes and stood up, stretching. He looked back at Anna, who was still asleep. Yuuri chuckled slightly. She could sleep through anything. Compared to him, there could be a tornado, earthquake, explosion, and Anna would sleep through all of it. Once she was asleep, she was dead to the world.
Yuuri stepped into the basement, doing some basic excersises before going out on his morning run. When he got back, Anna was at the stove, cooking a pork cutlet bowl.
"Morning sleepyhead." Yurri greeted her, hugging her from behind and kissing her cheek.
"Hello Yuuri." Anna replied, kissing him gently. "Since it's our last day here, I decided to make a yummy breakfast for us!"
Yuuri laughed nervously. "Thank you love." He said.
They sat at the table, eating their breakfast. Yuuri received a text from Viktor.
Viktor: Yuuuuurriiii!! I'll be at the airport to pick you up when you get here!!! I miss youuuuuu!!
Yuuri chuckled and rolled his eyes. Viktor was probably drunk. He always typed like that when he was drunk. Then it hit him. He was going to have to tell Anna that she was going to have to stay back and not join him in Russia.
Anna noticed that Yuuri sat there emotionless. She knew something was wrong.
"Yuuri?" She asked. "Are you okay?"
Yuuri just sighed. "I have something to tell you." He said.
"Is it bad?" Anna asked, panicking a little.
"Kind of." Yuuri explained. "I have to travel to Russia alone."
Yuuri braced himself for Anna to scream at him, leave, or something else. She just sat there quietly. "Oh." She said.
"I'm really sorry. I wish you could come. Its just not possible this time." Yuuri said.
Anna gave him a soft smile. "Its okay Yuuri." She said. "Stuff like this happens."
Yuuri was taken back by how well she took it. He watched as she did the dishes happily. Something wasn't right, but he had to pack. He hugged Anna from behind, kissing her.
"I'm gonna miss you Anna." He said. "Its not gonna be the same without you."
"Don't worry Yuuri. I'll be watching from home. I'll be rooting for you no matter what." Anna said, turning and kissing him gently. "Go pack. I'll drive you to the airport."
Yuuri walked to their room and packed his things, calling Viktor.
"Yuuri, my love!" Viktor answered happily, still obviously drunk.
"Viktor, Anna took me leaving by myself way too easily. I'm scared." Yuuri explained.
"Don't worry Yuuri! She loves you! Are you leaving soon?" Viktor asked.
"Yeah," Yuuri said as he closed his bag. "Anna's gonna drive me to the airport. I'll text you."
With that, Yuuri hung up and walked with his bag to the living room. Anna was watching TV, and smiled at him when he came down.
"Ready to go?" She asked. Yuuri nodded.
They drove to the airport, the drive awkwardly silent. They reached the airport and Anna stopped the car.
"Have a good flight," She said, leaning in and kissing Yuuri. "I love you."
"I love you too Anna." Yuuri replied. "I'll call you as soon as I get there."
Yuuri got out of the car and walked to the gate, boarding the plane.
He watched as his hometown became smaller and smaller as the plane took off. He put headphones in, but before he could put any music on, someone tapped his shoulder. Yurio, the 15 year old skater who basically wanted to kill him for taking Viktor away from him. Yurio looked at him with a smirk.
"You're in my territory now, boy." Yurio said. "Get ready for a horrible defeat."
Yuuri looked out the window nervously. As he did, Yurio started kicking his seat. How immature. This was going to be a long flight.
I hope this chapter is alright. I'm going to try and update every day, or every other day. I'm shocked at how many reads it's already gotten for being uploaded 21 hours ago. This is the first anime fanfic I have ever written, so I hope its okay.
