Hey!

***Landon's POV***
My eye twitched involuntarily when I heard yet another hard sigh from across my bedroom. I scratched the back of my head and crouched into my closet looking for something to wear trying my best to ignore her. A whiny moan escaped her before she threw herself on my bed and went into full pout mode. "Laaaaaandon!"
"Lia..." I turned around to see her staring at me with pitiful eyes. I arched a brow and she challengingly kept my gaze. I then crossed my arms and she sat up and crossed her legs while balling her fists in her lap. Rolling my eyes, she then exhaled a short breath through her nose. "Fine!" I cracked and she giggled hopping off the bed to run up to me to embrace me strongly.
"Thank you!" She sang and grabbed my hand tugging me toward the door. I shook my head but followed her downstairs. She wanted to apologize to dad but didn't want to go alone though I'm pretty sure he'd pull her away to the side anyways. Guess she just wanted that initial moral support. Amelia knew full well I'd do anything I could for her.
From their scent we knew are parents were in the kitchen but they were speaking in hushed voices. Sharing a look with Lia we carefully crept to the doorway and peeked inside. Dad had his arms wrapped around mom's waist, mom's head was buried in dad's neck. "It's okay baby, it was just a dream." Mom shook his head.
"Galen...something doesn't feel right." Mom sniffed and rubbed his nose into dad's shirt. Dad immediately felt around mom's body, patting his shoulders and poking at his cheek playfully.
"Where does it hurt?" He waggled his brows and that caused mom to crack a smile on his sullen face. "I'll kiss all the hurt away babe." Lia and I pretended to gag but secretly we both knew that we wouldn't want are parents any other way. They loved each other and honestly, I never seen anyone look at their mate the way my dad looks at my mom. And vise versa.
"I love you, dumbass," mom grumbled and leaned up to kiss dad's cheek. He turned his head quickly to kiss mom thoroughly on the lips. Lia nudged me and I understood. She cleared her throat and we walked into the kitchen feigning innocence.
"Ew!" She covered her eyes playfully. Our parents separated from their embrace except for dad's hand on the small of mom's back.
"You guys need something?" Mom asked crossing his arms and blushing faintly.
"Yeah, um...can I talk to you daddy?" Lia asked and dad's eyebrows shot up. After a few moments of silence mom pushed him forward a little bit.
"I'm sure he won't mind Amelia, would you Galen?" Not giving him a chance to answer, mom grabbed my arm pulling me along out of the room. I smiled slightly at Lia as we made our way into the backyard. "Honestly, that man can't be afraid to talk to his own daughter for goddess sake!" Mom laughed under his breath as we came to a stop. It was a warm Saturday afternoon and the sun shone brightly in the sky. My eyes roamed my mother's face taking in the familiar features that never failed to bring me comfort aside from music. Noticing the dark circles under his eyes, my hand lifted on its own to touch under his right eye.
"Ma, everything alright?" I asked softly in concern. The first time I'd ever seen dark circles under his eyes was when he was giving birth to Grayson when I was five. He looked so frail and vulnerable, I remembering being so scared and confused because dad started crying when mom went to get some rest. He sat beside mom watching his chest move up and down the entire time he gained sleep refusing to move the entire time as aunt Lily tended to Grayson. Lia started crying when we had to leave the room and I held her hand and focused solely on calming her down. It took my mind off things until mom woke up. This had to be the second time I've seen bags under his eyes.
