Two years prior:"Thank you so much Lily!" I brightly smile at the girl behind the counter.
"Pleasure Sarah. Enjoy!" Her lips pull back into a smile as her eyes convey her happiness.
"Oh, I have to run before Captain kills me. Wish me luck though!" I exclaim."Good luck! And don't be nervous, you'll definitely graduate with flying colors!" Lily waves me off as I turn around, my steaming coffee in one hand and my cream cheese bagel in the other.
"Thanks Lily, I'll see you later!" I yell over my shoulder. My eyes widen in surprise as my coffee spills all over my white shirt.
"What. The. Hell." I yell, my eyes narrowing into fine slits as the boy— man before me smirks.
"Hey beautiful, I never quite caught your name." His friends burst into boisterous laughter at his words. My teeth grind in frustration, "You idiot!"
"Now, now, babe. I'm sure that's not your name.""Babe? Babe? Babe! You imbecile!" A torrent of curses escape my lips as the specimen before me warily eyes me, "How dare you!"
"Excuse me?" His eyes widen in surprise.
"You heard me perfectly well. How. Dare. You." I press my finger onto his chest with each word for emphasis."I'm sorry babe, I got lost in your eyes." He smoothly attempts to distract me.
Stomping my foot in anger I heavily sigh, "For the love of God could you stop patronizing me further. As it is you dared to walk into me thus destroying—"
"— Let me guess, 'Your favorite white shirt', right?"My teeth grind together in frustration as my blood rushes to my head, "No you imbecile! You destroyed my precious bloody coffee! Not to mention that thanks to your idiocy I am officially late for my blasted graduation! You... You... Ugh!" Angrily glaring at him, I storm out of my favorite café.
Slamming the door shut I heave a sigh of relief as my car roars to life, applying pressure to the pedal I speed off with only one destination in mind.

My heart stills as the angered voice of my mentor reaches my ears. "S-sir.."He lifts his hand motioning for me to remain silent, "I am very disappointed with you. Especially with your behavior since this term started."
"Sir..." I fearfully gulp.
"I do hope that this won't be a problem in the future. I truly would despise that." My Captain stoically said.My heart sunk in my chest at the monotone tone of his voice, I worked so hard for this. I thought that finally I would get some appraisal and now...
"Sir?" I broken-heartedly whispered.
"You heard me Ms. McCall. You are dismissed. Until further notice that is."My heart suddenly soared with elated joy as his words hit me. "S-sir!" I stuttered.
My face swarming with heat as he laughs. Raising my hand I salute my ex-mentor, once he leaves I excitedly begin twirling around in excitement.
"I take it you graduated too." Peter stalks over, a smile playing on his lips. "Congratulations Sarah. You deserve it."
"I just... I can't believe it. Finally..."
