"Louis!" I heard a familiar voice yell.
I lied there with my eyes still closed, not wanting to wake up. Footsteps started coming towards me and then someone was poking my face. "Louis Tomlinson, we've been friends forever, I know damn well you heard me when I said your name."
"Izzy," I groaned "What time is it?" I opened my eyes to see my best friend, Isabelle, standing beside me with her hand on her hip.
"Its ten, you're lucky I let you sleep this long. I am leaving in a few hours and I'd like to spend some time with my best friend." she said pulling my duvet away from me.
I frowned, remembering that this was the last day I would be seeing her for awhile. She was going to college in America. New York City to be exact. And although I was very proud of her, I didn't want her to go. I've known her since my first year at school and we have been inseparable ever since. I know it's weird for me to have a girl as a best friend but people don't get Isabelle like I do.
I looked up at her and she gave me a half smile, "Don't be sad Lou. You know I won't forget you."
"I know, I am just going to miss you thats all." I said, I sat up in bed and gave her my best faked smile. "Now will you get out so I can get ready for the day, please?"
"If you insist." She said smirking. I threw my pillow at her as she walked out.
I groaned and rolled out of bed. I pulled on some sweats over my trousers and a gray hoodie to match. I ran my fingers through my hair and tried to make it look decent. I didn't have anyone to impress but I didn't want to look bad on my last day with Izzy.
I walked downstairs and saw my mom and Sarah, Izzy's mom, talking on the couch. I told them good morning and went into the kitchen where I knew I would find Izzy. She was hunched over a bowl of cereal shoving spoonful's into her mouth. "That's attractive." I said sarcastically.
"I have no one to impress and you know me, I love cereal." she said while shoving another bite in.
"Obviously." I teased while rolling my eyes. "So how long until you're leaving me?"
"My flight leaves at 4." she frowned and bit her lip.
I knew what she was thinking, she was so easy to read, plus I had known her for such a long time. She was feeling guilty, yet again, about leaving me here. I wanted her to stay more than anything but I also wanted her to go to college because she deserved it and was going to be very successful. Of course it would be hard for me to be here without her because we do everything together. But I wasn't going to let her go while feeling guilty, so I smiled at her and said "Well lets go do something crazy before you leave!"
She grinned and shook her head.
Around 3:30 we pulled into the airports parking lot. I wasn't ready for our goodbye. Luckily we got more time together cause the security line was pretty long. While we stood in line I thought about what I was going to say when it was time for her departure. I was scared that once she got to New York we wouldn't talk as much and just lose connection. I looked at her and said, "What if we don't talk as much as we plan to? Or you don't have time for me?" I frowned, I shouldn't be this worried but a best friend as good as her only comes once in a lifetime.
"Louis stop being so down, you're bringing me down and I don't want to leave you upset. We aren't going to lose touch, we can Skype everyday. It will be just like I am here at home but I will be in your computer screen." She smiled and punched my shoulder. We both laughed. The line started to move, "Finally," she huffed.
"I wanted to give you something before you left Izzy." I said looking in her eyes.
"You did not buy me anything! Louis William Tomlinson, you better not have." her eyes got wide and she flushed.
"Oh calm down, I didn't buy you shit. I just wanted to give you something. Technically you should already have it cause you're always taking it anyways." I reached down into the pocket of my sweats and pulled out my black beanie. She gasped.
"Louis, no that's your favorite beanie. I can't take it from you." she said shoving my hand away.
I sighed and pushed it into her hand, "It looks better on you anyways and I have another one back at the house. So please take it."
She wrapped her fingers around it and smiled, "I am going to miss you so much Louis."
"Don't get all mushy on me please." I joked.
