As we drove, I began to wonder why exactly he came to the party. Not to be nosy or anything. "Definitely to be nosy!" my subconscious tells me. I ignore it.
"Not to be nosy or anything, but I thought you said that you don't go to these type of parties?" I ask.The words slipped out of my mouth unconsciously. Ugh!
"I don't but... I had a feeling that you might be in trouble." Harry answers.
"Why would you think that?"
"Well... I noticed how your ex treats you, and the fact he said, that "he always knows where you are", gave me this strange feeling."
"Oh." Is all I end up saying. Was he even there when Josh said that... Wait a minute... Josh said that at the car lot.. Harry didn't come with me... as soon as I was about mention it to Harry, I realized that we're not heading to Nina's apartment. Where is he taking me? My heart begins to pound.
"Um...where are we going?" I ask nervously. I think the location he is taking me is way more important than what Josh said, right now...
"My apartment." he answers as he stops at a red light.
"Oh, ok. Good... wait...what?!" I say a bit too loud. He throws his head back laughing, at my response.
"Well, where did you think I was going to take you, love?" He says. My heart flutters at his choice of words.
"Well, Nina's apartment where I live, love." I respond, trying to mimic him and his accent. Once again he throws his head back laughing so hard! I begin to laugh as well, after realizing what I failed to do.
"Look, I can't take you to where you live, because your ex lives in the same complex. He lives... next... door."
"Wait... how did you know that?" I ask. He groans a bit after I ask.
"Wait... why do you ask so many questions?" He laughs, for he knew he failed to imitate my American accent.
"Nice try!" I begin to laugh, hard! I see him smirk, while I laugh.
"Ha,ha... We're here, love." He says, as he parks his car at his apartment complex.
While I'm still laughing, he gets out of the car and walks over to the passenger side to reach for my hand.
