Chica was gone when Foxy woke up. He walked out and found her peeking out the door cautiously. Freddy and Bonnie were still asleep, curled up next to eachother. "Chica?" Foxy asked. It wasn't like her to be an early riser....

Chica whirled around. Her eyes were bright, and it looked like she had never experienced pain in her life. "Foxy, the pizzeria is open! It's like music to my ears!" She smiled.

"What?" Foxy just took notice of the cheering and laughing beyond the door. He walked up, not believing what he saw. "It be a sea shanty out there!" He exclaimed. Everything was a mix of confetti and colorful lights and playing children. It was a dream.

"Isn't it amazing? The Toys are busy now too!"

"Aye, it be grand. Shame we can't be closer."

"Yeah... But maybe we can..." Chica looked at the ceiling. She was deep in thought.

"What?"

"The vents, Foxy. We can get closer through the vents."

"Oh. Oh! Chica, let's move fast!" Foxy swung the door open and ran to the office, Chica speeding behind. The party rooms were empty, thankfully.

"In, in, in!" Chica demanded, Foxy crawling in. Chica slinked in after him.

The vents became even more a maze in the day. Sound came from everywhere, the lights revealed new vent systems. Finally they made it to a main vent, and the opening was large enough for them to sit beside eachother.

Foxy and Chica lost track of the time they spent there. The only thing they kept an eye on was the world they missed. Finally, however, they left back into the vents. Their ears rung from the songs and laughter, their eyes were tired from all the lights and colors. But Foxy felt refreshed anyways. He had seen what he had lost longer ago than the others again. It was so nice to know there was some comfort to this world.

They returned to find Freddy and Bonnie awake, peering out the door as they had. "There you two are!" Freddy scolded, rushing them in. "What we're you thinking, up and leaving like that!?"

"The pizzeria opened. We got closer by looking in the vents..." Chica stuttered.

"I suppose me and Bonnie were curious too... What did it look like?"

"T'was great! Lights were in more colors than the beach at sunset! The lads n lasses played like no tomorrow." Foxy gave detail. Recalling the sight was very nice.

Chica helped him describe the scene, correcting his bad pirate vocabulary.

Bonnie smiled. "How nice. It's good to know our audience still has something of us to see."

Foxy didn't think he could be more happy when he saw the contented look on Chica's face.\

When night came and the pizzeria closed, Foxy and Chica ran out during the Toys' checkup. Freddy went to map the vents with Bonnie and watch for the Toys' return. As they walked, Foxy noticed something move in Kid's Cove. "Let's check it out, Chica." He murmured.

Funtime spun around when Foxy and Chica entered. "It's you!" She breathed, the voice coming out of her speaker on her chest.

"I wanted to talk to you guys  a few nights ago, but you left. Oh... You look so tattered! Have those Toys been pickin on you?" Funtime rambled.

"Aye." Foxy had mixed feelings about this strange excuse for a pirate.

"Omigosh, a real pirate fox! You must be my counterpart! You look so cool!" Her face plates twitched. Chica jumped.

"Oh sorry, my exoskeleton is built more modern. My fave is made of four plates. Look, I can do this!" Her face plates suddenly opened, revealing a very modern endoskeleton. Foxy stepped a forward, studying the whole thing, when Funtime reclined backwards and snapped on her face again.

"Interestin. It was nice meetin ye, Funtime. We best be goin before the Toys return."

"Bye!" Funtime chirruped, and the two left. Something told them they had more in store for them than they thought.
