Napoleon's Pov
I checked my wife.
"When is this guy going to get here?" I asked.
Shannon sighed. I rolled my eyes.
"Dance with me," I said.
"No," she replied crossing her arms.
Suddenly the hand started playing an old hit, Earth Angel.
"I know you want to," I said, "and I like this song."
I grabbed her wrist and pulled onto the floor.
I made an appropriate space between us and put both of my hands on the back of her waist. She placed her hands on either of my shoulders. Shannon started shaking like she was scared.
"What's wrong?" I asked looking down at her.
"He's here," she said. "I need to leave."
"Why?" I asked.
"You don't know him like I do," she said. "Don't let him see me."
I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her as I close I could and rested my cheek next to hers trying to hide her face.
"What has he done?" I whispered.
"He's was a gangster of the town I lived in," she whispered, "he's killed so many people who have gotten in his way. It's hard to get on his good side don't make contact with him. Please."
"I think we have to," I said, "he could help us."
"If he changed sides," Shannon said, "he could kill us...there would be no doubt."
"It will be fine," I said, "we won't let you get hurt."
"Okay," she said.
"So where is he?" I asked.
"He's the only one at the food table," she replied.
I looked up at the food table. There was a tall, masculine man wearing a grey blazer with a white shirt, black tie, khaki pants and brown dress shoes. He had dark brown hair and a scar on his forehead.
"That's Quincy," Shannon said.
"He looks scary," I said looking back down at Shannon.
"He is," she replied.
"You have to go talk to him," I said.
"What?" Shannon asked backing away from me. "No...I can't."
"Do it," I said nudging her toward him.
Shannon's Pov
As I walked towards Quincy my heart thudded against my chest. I went towards the other side of the food table. I picked up a plate and put food on it. I made my way down and ran into Quincy. Dropping my plate on the floor and food splatter all over his pants and shoes.
He sighed and bent down to pick up the food. And when he thought I wasn't looking he looked up my dress. I closed my legs together.
"Sorry about the mishap ma'am," he said standing up. "I didn't mean to-" His mouth dropped open.
"It's alright," I said throwing the food and plate in the nearest garbage can.
"Shannon Parker," he said putting his hands on his hips, "remember me?"
"Unfortunately yes," I said, "hello Quincy."
"Well you have just," he looked me up and down, "...matured."
My cheeks turned red.
"You haven't changed a bit," I said.
"Hmm," he said, "how about we get out of here and...catch up."
"Actually," I said, "I am here with my friends...maybe another time."
"Then I would like to meet them," he said.
"Very well," I replied.
