Chapter 1

Chapter 1:"Just imagine this."

I, Becca Hamilton, hate my birthday with every fibre in my body. Don't get me wrong, I'm not some emo 16 year old girl, but if you were in my shoes, you would feel the same way too.

Just imagine this. On your tenth birthday your happy family of four were in the car heading to your favourite restaurant to celebrate your tenth birthday. You're really excited. Then, the unexpected happened. Before you could even react, you heard the deafening screeching of the tyres. All you could do was close your eyes and get ready for the impact that was coming. It hit hard. You were in so much pain. Using all the strength that you had, you leaned forward to look at your parents. And at that moment, you didnt know how, but you just knew that It would be that last time you saw your parents. Your vision blurred as tears formed in your eyes. You watched the life drain out of your parents' eyes and nothing could be done. Nothing at all. All you could do was silently grip your brother's hand for comfort and wait for your time to come. Black dots danced around your vision and you willingly welcomed the darkness. Soon, it felt like you were falling into a never ending black hole and darkness was everywhere.
