Calming Flames

Familiar Faces

Hermione glances over at the Slytherin table, eyeing Draco's platinum hair. Ron looks at her, puzzled, "Hermione? You okay?"

She looks at Ron and smiles lightly.
"Yeah, I'm-I'm fine... I just need to go study." She walks off with her arms crossed.

Still puzzled, Ron looks to Harry. "Hermione has been acting weird lately, right?"

Harry stops chatting to Ginny, "Well she has been looking distant from us ever since we started school... and she has been looking over at Draco a lot."

Ginny gets up and whispers something in Harry's ear, he nods and pecks her on the cheek, and she walks out of the room. "Should I go and talk to her? I don't want to seem too obsessive though..."

Harry looks over and sighs, "I don't know... Maybe it won't work out... Maybe she fancies somebody else..."

Shocked, Ron gets up and storms out. Harry looks at him and pulls out his map and wand, the then whispers, "I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good."

The maps ink starts to appear and he looks for Ron and Hermione, Ron's footsteps were spread out, meaning he was running, and Hermione was standing near somebody else.

Draco Malfoy

Harry looks up at the Slytherin table and the platinum haired fiend was missing. Harry shoots up and races out of the Great Hall.

He looks at the map again and sees that Ron was only a few corridors away from Hermione and Malfoy. He goes from running and starts sprinting.

Malfoy was looking in Hermione's eyes smiling, "He's not following you right?" Draco asks, reaches for her cheek.

Hermione smacks his hand, "People can see, what if Ron finds out?" Malfoy sneers and rolls his steely grey eyes.

"Meet me in the astronomy tower at midnight... I need to talk to you..."

Malfoy smirks and walks back to the Great Hall.

Ron ran up to Hermione, grabbing her shoulder. Out of breath he looks at her, "Why...are...you...acting...weird?" He gasps. She looks over and scoffs, moving his hand off of her shoulder, "Ronald, we-we need to talk. I don't think this is going to work... I just feel like we just changed after the war..."

She looks back up and sees Harry barreling toward them at the speed of a broomstick. Hermione squeals and scoots out of the way.

"Harry! Why are you here?" Ron and Hermione ask in unison.

"Just stop fighting okay? Ron come-come on we're going to the corridor if you need anything Hermione... Go ahead and study..." Ron weakly follows Harry as they walk to the main corridor.

Thanks all for reading this I hope I did well... This chapter was short because it's the drama and intro dealio. Hopefully I can write these everyday or every other day... No promises though. I love this ship but if there is another one you want I'll think about writing it!
