Plans Fail

'... Why would I agree with Pansy to do this? God my parents would kill me if I got expelled...' Lavender thought looking up at her four-poster bed posts. It was night and Hermione was fast asleep in her dorm.

'I have to do this... I can't get on Pansy's bad side...' She tells herself and quietly gets up from her bed. Wand in hand she creeps into Hermione's room.

"Patrificus Totalious" she whispers and Hermione's body stiffens up. Lavender picks her up an slowly walks out of the corridor, getting looks from the pictures on the wall.

She makes her way down to the Forbidden Forest and meets Pansy, who is impatient and angrily looking over at Lavender.

"Sorry Pansy... I just didn't want her to be studying late at night..." Lavender lies looking over at a petrified Malfoy, she smirks and tosses Hermione next to him.

"Malfoy was harder to get... I had to sneak through the boys dorm... It's awful.... Worse than the dungeons." Pansy chuckles and looks over at Malfoy and Hermione who are starting to move. Pansy snaps and two Slytherin boys tie up the two. Those boys were Crabbe and Goyle, Draco had left them after the Triwizard Tournament.

Hemione started to gain her senses again and she felt the sharp pains of the snow that were on the forest floor. In the corner of her eye she can she Draco, 'Oh no...' She thought as she started to slowly move her neck, she could hear the voices of Pansy and Lavender, her heart started to pound. 'They're gonna kill us... We're dead because of my STUPID decisions...' Her eyes filled with tears, 'I'm so sorry Draco... I was selfish... Now we'll die because of me...' She silently weeps...

Draco stirs. Looking slowly over at a sobbing Hermione. 'Damnit... I knew they'd do this... When we're sleeping too... God... It's worse than I thought...' Draco started to breathe heavily.

"Ok Lavender, you ready?" Pansy's voice quivers and looks over at Lavender.

"Yup... Ready as I'll ever be..." She responds and looks over at Hermione.

She walks over and throws off the gag on Hermione. She starts to loudly sob and scream.

"SHUT HER UP!" Pansy yells,"Before Filtch gets her..."

Lavender takes her wand and puts it up to Hermione's throat. Hermione glances at Draco, who is wincing at every noise Hermione makes. "What would you do for her?" Lavender whispers softly.

"Anything..." His voice scratchy and rough.

"Anything? Really? Maybe even... Death?" Lavender switches her wand over to him and Hermione weeps softly.

"Lavender no... We can't kill them..." Pansy sneers and glances over at the castle.

"Fine..." Lavender scoffs," I won't... Promise." She slowly paces around the two, giggling and twirling her hair.

"Crusio"

An ear splitting scream came from Hermione, who's tears are pouring out like waterfalls.

"Enough" Pansy whispers and the scream stopped suddenly. Hermione's breathing heavily and quivering in the snow.

'I can't feel anything... Draco... They're going to kill him... No matter what Pansy says... Lavender wants to kill tonight... Regardless of who it is.' Hermione keeps her eyes closed.

Pansy walks over to Draco, wand drawn, and crouches in front of him.

"You'd said you'd do anything right? I feel like you're lying..." Pansy sneers.

"Why... Why would I lie?" Draco retorts looking up at her. "If your going to kill me then just do it!" He yells, tears streaming down his cheeks.

Lavender looks over at him and smiles, she walks over with her wand pointing at him.

Pansy stands up and glares at her. "What have I told you? You can't kill them!" Lavender points her wand at Pansy. "Then I won't kill them..."

Pansy raises her hands and tosses her wand over on the ground. "You'd said that we'd take care of them Pansy... Are we? No! And my Won-Won is broken... So I'll break the bitch who did it!"

Hermione winces and looks up at Draco, who's slowly shuffling over to Pansy's wand.

"Lavender calm down... You don-"

"YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I WANT TO DO PANSY! I'VE WANTED TO KILL EVER SINCE WON-WON WAS TAKEN FROM ME!" Lavender yelled out. "I don't care who dies tonight... So long as it's me as the murderer..." Lavender begins to laugh.

"You're mad!" Pansy yells as Draco started to grab the wand, Pansy nods and closes her eyes.

Draco takes of the binds on his hands and slowly stands up, and walks behind Lavender, "Avada Kedavra" He whispered softly and a flash of green hits her back, a shrill screech lets out as Lavender hits the ground.

Draco drops the wand and runs to Hermione who is still sobbing. He picks her up and embraces her, "It's okay... Pansy won't hurt us..." He whispers cuddling her waist and soaking up her tears in his shoulder.
