Hermione viciously tapped her foot on the ground, she whipped her head around when Draco called her name. She observed and saw that he had Pansy's wand, she relaxed her body and smiled.

"Thank god. Now we need to convince Pansy to meet us so she can confess to the murder..." She said hugging his arm as that walked into the Great Hall.

"I already have a plan, first we need her to meet us at the library, then read this and... Practice until she meets us." He hands her a small rolled parchment and kisses her as she walks over to Ginny to ask how her vacation was. She glanced over to Draco who nodded, Hermione got up and walked out of the hall.

"The library? You always hated the library... What is so important?" Pansy eats her bacon with eagerness.

"Me and Hermione need to talk about our... Stain on the rug..." Draco whispered and looks around quickly. "Meet us in two hours." He gets up and walks out of the hall to meet Hermione.

We were kidnapped by you and Lavender, yet Lavender hated you and threatened to kill you, so you grabbed your wand and killed her. You let us go and we ran back to our dorms.

Hermione read as her eyes skimmed the parchment she saw a piece fall out of the roll. She pick it up curiously and unrolls it.

Draco: Alive
Mudblood: Alive
Potter: Alive
Weasel: Alive
Lavender: Dead

Hermione looked over the list more than once, tearing up at her "name."

Draco popped up and ruffled her frizzy hair. "Hey, you got your part read yet?"

He looks up with malice and sneers, tears rolling down her face. "I thought I could trust you..." She smacks the list on his chest, and walking off.

Draco was shocked taking the parchment and glancing at it.

'Shit'

He ran out of the library and raced toward Hermione. "Hey, wait!" He yells out to her and she whipped around.

"What is it? You have my "name" on there... You said you'd stop calling me that..." Her hands on her hip.

"Please... It's not mine it's Pansy's I swear!" He looks down to her.

"Pansy's? Why... Oh..." He face goes from anger to worry."Draco we need to bring this to a teacher, we're on that list... We're going to die I we don't..." She says in a panicked tone.

He grabs her hand and walks to the headmasters quarters.

"Carefree Newts" Hermione whispers and the eagle staircase swirls upward.

"Wait... We need to meet Pansy... And we can't mess this up..." Draco pulls her to the library. Pansy was sitting in the corner and her face lit up when she saw them.

"Took you long enough... God I was thinking that you'd tell on me or something..." Pansy laughed and look up at them.

Hermione and Draco sat best to her and Hermione pulled out her wand.

"Obliviate Maxima" Hermione recites like it was from a book. Pansy's face goes blank and Hermione reads off her parchment.

"Pansy, yesterday you murdered Lavender Brown, you wanted to kill me and Draco Malfoy but failed. Your wand can be tested to see that you used the killing curse last." Hermione pauses and flicks her wand making Pansy's blank face to return to emotion.

"Pansy go to the headmaster and tell them what you did last night..." Draco looks over at Hermione and gives a sly smirk as he slowly passes Pansy's wand over to her.

Pansy walks over to the secret staircase and whisper the code, she slowly walks up the staircase and Hermione and Draco sigh as they watch her disappear up the stairs.
