Hermione wakes to the sound of birds in the astronomy tower, Draco was still passed out underneath her. Looking at his face she can't seem to find any imperfections, he was perfect.
"Good morning" Draco says in a groggy voice as he looks at her. "Morning" she kisses him slightly. She grabs his hand and tugs him up, "Come on we need food, I'm starving." They clamber down the steps, hands intertwined and swaying gently between each step.
They make their way to the Great Hall, she pulls him behind a pillar and kisses him arms hugging his neck. "Yesterday was fun, thanks for getting beaten up for me." She giggles and watches as she walks off. He follows in a minute after and sits with Blaise and Pansy.
Hermione felt awkward sitting next to Ron and Harry, she felt judged, she could see that Ron was seething with anger and depression. 'I should expect a howler from Mrs. Weasley soon' she thinks to herself. There's no way that Ron hasn't sent an owl to his family yet about the news.
--
Lavender looked over at Ron to see that Hermione was still sitting near him. She growls with anger and looks over at Hermione 'What's the big deal anyway? She's a book worm... A good for nothing mud-blood' Lavender thought.
Luna, who is sitting next to Neville, arm interlaced with his, "Are you okay Lavender? You seem a bit... Tense." She says in that silky smooth yet monotone voice. "What? Oh, yeah I'm fine!" She fakes a smile," just fine."
--
Ron looks at his plate, 'I left you because I'm in love with Draco Malfoy...' The graceful voice of Hermione kept repeating in his head, "Ron, Lavender keeps looking at you... Have you talked to her recently?" Harry says poking Ron's arm.
"What, oh, no I actually forgot about her for a while... I'm shocked that I forgot though... She always loved a good snog..." He says trailing off. "Ron! What do you mean? I don't know if you should talk to girls for a while. Especially ex's."
--
Hermione finishes her lunch of solitude in the Great Hall and walks out heading for the Gryffindor commons, she's coming up to the portrait of The Fat Lady, when three girls go by. They were obviously younger and Slytherins as the uptight little brooch on their cloaks said. The faces they made we of anger and disgust. She scoffs and whispers, "Lemon Drops" the portrait opened and she sees Ginny studying.
Hermione walks over and sets her bag down. Ginny looks up and fakes a smile. "Hi Hermione, how are you?" She asks and looks up from her work. "God Ginny, you can't expect to lie about how you feel for the rest of the year. You and I both know that you hate me." She glances back to her book and waits for a snide retort.
"I don't hate you Hermione, just what do you see in Malfoy?"
"Something you obviously don't see..." She spits back with venom.
"You left my brother for a former enemy of yours. It doesn't add up to some of us." Ginny says weakly.
"He's changed since the war... He knows that he messed up all the time... But his parents are to blame for that." Hermione looks down.
Ginny gets up and walks out to the Great Hall to catch up with Harry and Ron.

Malfoy is scribbling in parchment, the scratching of the quill makes his hair stand up and his senses tingle. He rolls it up and ties it to his owl.
--
Mail day and Hermione was indulging in on some toast, when an unknown owl came and screeched in her face. She untied the parchment and walked out of the hall.
Hey, I know we had some tension last time, I wanted you to know that I still love you... Meet me in the library, our normal spot.
