Rukio was asleep on the air mattress in Gordromic's shed-of-a-room. He has his own private building in the backyard of his mother's house. It was not big at all, only 8 by 15 feet. Four people had to live in this place. Gordromic slept in his Queen sized bed, Rukio slept on an air mattress, Shy and Alex slept in the actual house, in the guest room. It was about three in the morning. "You know I hate you." That voice broke the silence.
"Why do you hate me this time?" Rukio sarcasticly responded.
"If you didn't hide my grenades, we could have pulled the best prank on Shy and Alex." Gordromic replied.
(Gordromic had been planning on throwing smoke grenades and pretend kid-napping the girl members of our team.)
"You'll get stabbed, shot, electrocuted, and cut. All at once." Rukio said
"That ain't so bad." Gordromic replied.
"Alex will also most likely dump you."
Gordromic quickly changed his tone. "Okay fine, maybe you are right."
"Sorry to burst your bubble." Rukio said, half asleep.
Rukio passed out afew seconds later. He was very fatigued from a sickness he was just healing from. Gordromic sat up in the bed, and looked towards Rukio.
"Do you think we will be called to combat agian." Gordromic asked.
"No doubt, it will be soon." Rukio said in a cold voice.
"And Alex and Shy?" Gordromic replied, he was worried about them.
"We won't see them for a while." Rukio tranquility replied.
"You don't seem worried"
"I just...I have things on my mind."
"You know that they will find out eventually"
Rukio turned in the air matress, facing away from Gord. Rukio never showed anyone any emotion. If he was depressed, angry, guilty, or anything, he would just smile for everyone and say everything was fine. It was easy for him. He did it almost all of his life.
"You know what they say. Keep your emotions buried, and it will explode from you?" Rukio said, starring at the ceiling.
"Yea, heard that all the time when I was in elementary. Why?" Gordromic fixed his posture, he was slightly interested.
"It's going to happen soon." Rukio paused. "To me."
Gordromic looked around, he did not know what to say.
"Someone is going to die when it does..." Rukio kept on. Rukio sat up and looked at Gordromic.
Gordromic looked at Rukio at what seemed like forever, then Rukio finally said, "Make sure that person is me."
Rukio fell back in the bed, and Gordromic did the same. They both starred at the ceiling. Gordromic quickly fell asleep, but Rukio stayed up. He quietly snuck outside. Rukio walked to the end of the driveway before turning around. He sighed and patted his hand against his left hip. He felt the familiar bulge of his gun. Rukio rarely ever parted with it.
Rukio kept walking down the street, watching each house as he passed it. It was about ten at night, so some lights were still lit up. Rukio kept walking. Thoughts flooded his mind. He thought about the ability he had, the ability to turn into a guardian. He thought about the monster he created that could end the lives of millions of people. He thought of all the people that have died because of mistakes he made in the past.
When Rukio realized he was still walking, he looked around. He was in the center of a large field. The grass came up to his knees. He held his hands out, to hover above the blades. He slowely spun around, feeling the blades of grass hit his hands. Rukio then remembered he had the gun in his left holster.
