Cole's POV

I cant believe it. I am so happy I have her back. We started walking toward the blind. Our arms were linked together and she had her head on my shoulder. I about died. Just the feeling of it made me want to faint. I felt her eyes on me. I just smiled. We finally arrived at the blind. "Ladies first." I said letting her go up first. She kindly took it. I followed her up. When we got to the top she walked in and there was Reed. He had a weird look on his face. "What do you guys think your doing?" He asked us. He seemed like kinda sad and mad at the same time. "We are staying out here just for the night." I said. "Uh Cole your not because mom and dad sent me out here to get you but Maddie can because no one wants her there." He said with a sneaky smile but really mean. My mouth just dropped. "Oh and Cole I think you owe me an apology for slapping me." He said pointing to his face. "Reed I will not because you and Maddie use to be close and now look at you. You are treating her worse than you treat ur arch enemy." I said to him. He looked down and I saw a tear escape his eye. "Maddie can you give us a minute." Reed said nicely. She just nodded her head and walked out the door. "Cole she is in a comma. That dog attack really hurt her. They didnt know how bad it was until she was in there." He said with more tears running down his face. "Oh Reed I am so sorry but why are you taking it out on Maddie?" I asked. He just looked at me. "Well I mean I couldnt help my emotions half the time but when you saw the anger in my eyes coming out the woods behind the hospital was real for what she did to you but I guess I shouldnt be mad now but I mean I am not trying to be mean to her but when you are hurt so much you dont know how to control your emotions." He said really crying. I saw Maddie run in and she hugged Reed. He looked up and put his arms around her and hugged her back. "Reed I am so sorry but everything will get better but you have every right to be mad with me." She said. "Maddie I am not really mad anymore but why did you do that I mean you kinda hurt everyone because we felt like you hated us and used us." He said. Maddie looked down and then looked back up. "Reed the bad thing is you already know why." She said looking down. "Really Maddie that is why you freaked because of that. You have nothing to worry about there." He said smiling. I was kinda confused but hey I mean as long as they are getting along. "Reed can we please stay out here tonight because I mean I dont think I am really ready to go back and Maddie and I need some time to our self to talk without interruptions." I said. Reed just looked at me and of course had to do that evil smile of his. I just nudged him and he quit. "Sure but I tell you better be at the house by 2:00 tomorrow." He said. "Yes sir." I said as I hugged him. Maddie did too. He finally left and I heard Maddie gasp. "What is it?" I asked her. "I was scared to death he was gonna kill me." She said sitting down at the table. I sat across from her and grabbed her hands. She just looked at me and smiled. My heart sped up. I swear today has felt like a dream. "Maddie there is no reason for you to feel that way. Reed loves you as does everyone else but I mean he has emotions too but you should never feel scared of him." I said looking into her eyes. I saw one little tear drop down her face. I got up and walked over and sat next to her. I gave her a hug and she put her head in the crook of my neck. It felt like thats where she was meant to be. I could hear her crying a little. I lifted her head up. She has makeup down her face. I didnt care at all I just hated knowing that she was crying and that I had a part to do with this.

Maddie's POV

When he got up I felt like I looked ugly because I was crying so bad. I saw him get a napkin and wet it a little. He came back over with a little smile and started to wipe my face. At that moment I remembered I hate makeup on and knew it was smudged. I just let him wipe it off. Once he was done I gave a smiled and hugged him. "Cole I am so glad I have you. I love you." I said without thinking. Holy Crap. Why would I say that. He pulled away and looked at me. "What did you just say?" He said surprised. "Nothing." I said getting up and getting my clothes out of the closet. He could tell I was lying because you could see it in his face. "Can you turn around?" I asked him. He did. I turned toward the bed and started to pull my clothes off. When I was in just my bra and underwear i could feel something staring at me and I turned around. Cole was still facing the wall. I looked out the window and it looked like there was a person there. It scared the shit out of me. I ran over to Cole and jumped on him. "Maddie whats wro........" He said before looking down and seeing me in my bra and underwear. It almost looked like he was surprised. "Cole I saw someone staring at me why I was changing." I said. It almost looked like there was anger in his eyes. "I will go check it out while you continue getting dressed OK?" He said. I nodded. I pulled my shorts on and then my crop top. I walked outside to see Cole laying on the ground knocked out. I looked up and saw .................. Austin. I ran back inside and grabbed a bat. He followed me in and by the time I had the bat he was behind me. He knocked it out of my hands and grabbed me and turned me around. He had and evil look in his eyes. "Your mine now. Ive been watching you for quite sometime now." He said. I screamed but he put his hand over my mouth. He ripped my shirt off. I tried to hit him but he just blocked it. "Oh you like it rough dont you." He said as he hit me. He pulled a rope out of his pocket and tied my hands together. He also put tape over my mouth. Next he ripped off my shorts then my bra. I tried to cover up but I couldnt with my hands around my back. Next thing I know Cole ran threw the door with my bat in his hands and knocked him upside Austins head. He saw me and wrapped a blanket around me while he untied my hands. I grabbed my bra and put it back on real fast then hid under the covers. "Are you OK Maddie?" He asked as he pulled the covers off my head. The cut down my face started to sting again. After the first few seconds is when it hurt then I had only just cleaned it up because it doesnt bother me and it didnt hurt until Austin punched me and I think he made it bleed again. Cole saw the mark on my face. "Maddie your cut is bleeding again." He said with a gross look on his face. I know it was bad but it must of gotten worse. "We are taking you to the hospital to get that stitched up." He said getting up. "No Cole please dont take me there. You know I cant stand needles." I pleaded. "Maddie you are really hurt and I dont want it to get worse and plus I will be by your side the whole time." He said smiling. "Cole they wont let you because I have gone threw this before remember I ended up screaming and punching a nurse in the face. They couldnt stitch my up remember it just became a scar." I said kinda freaking out. "Maddie that was also really tiny and you were what 7 your older and tougher than you were and I dont want it to get infected." He said sitting next to me. He wrapped his arms around me and we laid  back on the bed. I turned sideways and cuddled up next to him. He looked down at me and he looked up. We just smiled at each other. Well we talked for a little while but then he feel asleep. Austin was still on the floor so i took him and tied him up and put him in the closet. I walked outside and just thought prom was in 2 days. I walked back inside and Cole was still asleep. I went in and gave him a kiss on the cheek and crawled over him. I pulled the cover over me and faced the wall. I felt Cole put his arm around me and pulled me closer to him. I just smiled and tried to fall asleep.

 Cole's POV

I woke up and looked forward and there in my arms was Maddie. I quickly grabbed my phone put it on silent and took a picture of this moment to keep in my head forever. I kinda scooted closer to Maddie and she turned around. She was still asleep though but she was smiling. She scooted in until there was no more room for her to scoot in. She laid her head on my chest. I heard her laugh and knew she wasnt asleep. She lifted her head up. I just looked at her and she smiled her beautiful smile. "So good morning." I said smiling back at her. "Good morning. How did you sleep buddy?" She said smiling. I was smiling like a crazy idiot. "I slept great what about you?" I asked. "I slept amazing but I had a really good but weird dream." She said. "Want to explain it or not." I asked. "Nah it will take to long." She said. "OK what time is it anyway?" I asked her. She pulled out her phone. "Oh crap we need to get dressed and get back to the house. It is almost 1:00. We slept in late well let me rephrase that really late." She said getting up. She was still in her bra and underwear. I looked away. We both got dressed and headed out the door. "Where are you going?" I asked Maddie while she was going in the opposite direction. "You think we are gonna walk you are crazy." She said uncovering her ATV. I felt stupid. I got on behind her and held on the her waist. I could hear her chuckle a little bit. "Whats so funny?" I asked. "You know I am ticklish there." She said so I let go but she grabbed my hands and put them back on her upper waist. We just smiled. She stopped the ATV and scooted up and put her feet under the handle bars. "Scoot up Cole." She said as I did. I started to drive and she leaned back on me. I put one arm around her and drove with the other. She just kept looking at me and smiling. I smiled back.
