Bonus Chapter

"Mommy I'm scared" Kristen said, looking up at me with tears in her eyes.

"I know baby, but you have to control it okay?" I said calmly, trying to reach out towards her.

"But, I don't know how." She said, more tears flowing. It hurt me to see her go through this. She didn't understand her powers, our powers.

"Just take a deep breath okay? That's what always helps mommy calm down." I say worriedly, "I just need you to try for me okay?"

She nodded and looked down at me. She seemed to start to float down slightly, slowly coming closer to me.

"Just breathe in," I said demonstrating, "and breathe out." I exhale.

She nods and keeps looking down at me, her eyes had changed, just like mine did. So did Del's.

That's right, Del found out that he had powers too. They were much different from mine, but our eyes changed to the same color. A dark, burgundy purple. But Kristen's, hers were bright red.

She slowly started to lower herself down, almost to my arm length. She was still crying, she was so scared.

"Mommy, how did this happen to me?" She asked sadly. I look into her eyes.

"We are amazing people with amazing abilities that nobody understands. Uncle Del has them too. We're just special." I say, "Wanna see what I can do?"

She nods. I close my eyes and imagine myself floating up to be eye level with her, and when I open my eyes again, there she is. I'm floating right in front of her.

"But how did it happen?" She asks again. I shrug and wrap my arms around my daughter.

"We don't know, but you need to keep this under control okay?" I say and start to float down.

She starts to shake as I let go of her. Her tears never stopping, she was trying to control it.

"I'll call uncle Del when we get down, okay? He'll bring you ice cream and we'll all watch a movie with your daddy. How does that sound?" I asked her, looking straight into her blood red eyes.

She nodded slowly as her feet finally touched the ground. She reached up for my hand. "Mommy, can you tell me a story before we get home?" She asked smiling. I nodded and looked down at her.

"I'm gonna tell you a story of a girl who didn't know much, but she had so many people to help her." I said quietly as we started walking.

She smiled, "It's about you, isn't it mama? The story, its about you and daddy, and uncle Del?" She asked.

"Yes, my sunshine, it is."
