Tomorrow morning I went out for a run. I did daily runs back in New Zealand. It was fun by myself and thinking what it would like to be in a different place.
Well, here I am.
"James! I'm going for a run!" I yelled as I tied my hair up and grabbed my shoes to put them on. "Tell dad I won't be here until 6:00pm,"
"Why 6:00pm?" James asks as I walked down the hallway. I stopped to talk to him and sighed.
"You know I'm hanging out with Tommo," whoops.
"Who the hell is Tommo?" he asked.
"Louis, I meant Louis- just tell him!" I say and open the door. I felt the chill on my bare arms, goss bumps. I hate that feel.
I went across the streets as my earbud plaster music in my ears.
I was about 15 minutes away from my house until I heard; "Gracie!"
I stopped running and took out one earbud. I turned around and saw Louis running at me. He had a huge grin on his face. "Fancy seeing you here," I say once he was in front of me.
"Your running?" Louis asked. I nodded my head. "What? How do you run in the morning?!" Louis gasps.
I rolled my eyes. "I did it everyday in New Zealand," I explained na she nodded his head.
"Ah, any good spots?"
"Not really, I lived out in the country,"
"Oh," he says.
"I'm sorry you have to see me like this, panting and sweating," I apologise.
"Don't apologies silly girl!" Louis says. I punched him on the arm. "Ow! What was dat for?!" Louis whines holding his arm.
"Don't say I'm a silly girl again," I say.
"You know. I'm surprised you have the gut to punch me, the Louis- me," he says. I nodded my head.
"If I have the guts to jump into ice, then I have the guts to punch boys,"
"Wait- jump into ice?!"
I nodded my head. "There's this place called Lake Rotoiti and we had a batch up there- the lake was frozen so I decided I'd break the ice! It was stupid, but fun," I explained. Louis was laughing hard. "I have a video!" I suddenly remembered. "James took one of me,"
I scrolled through my photos and videos. I clicked on the one I was looking for. "WOO!" I hear myself scream. Louis was laughing still.
"Your crazy!" Louis says and watches it over. "Wow, I've never been there! But I have visit New Zealand. Your accent... I've never heard of it before," Louis says. "I mean, sure, I've heard it but not in a long time... I went there three years ago,"
"Oh, I'm a Kiwi," I say smiling knowing he'd get confused.
"A what? A Kiwi Fruit?!" Louis says.
"No, no, no! I mean, that's what us New Zelander's calls ourselves; where the Kiwi's! Do you watch rugby?" I asked.
"Yeah, a little," Louis replied. "My friend Niall'a a rugby fan,"
"Oh, well have you heard of the All Blacks?" Louis shakes his head. "Are you sure? We've won the rugby World Cup two times in a row," I say proudly.
"Oh! I remember Niall was piss," Louis laughs shaking his head.
"Well I better get ready," I tell him. He nods his head. "What time?"
"Met up at StarBusk at... 12:00?"
"Yeah! I know where that is!" I say proudly again. He laughs showing a small dimple. How cute.
"Okay, I'll see you soon?"
"Okay,"
"Okay.."
We left in awkward silents and I ran back to the house.
