while lexi and matthew struggled through social studies that were a little too social, lucas, lola, josh, and mary kate sat in english class.
this was the most awkward class for josh. the girl he was dating, and the girl he couldn't stop thinking about... yikes.
and what was worse... they were all in the same table group, along with matthew's best friend lucas.
and what could be worse in this table, than a group discussion?
lucas spoke first, thank goodness. he stated a claim and almost immediately after, lola launched into a speech about how he was most definitely incorrect. god she was really smart. when it was josh's turn to talk he said some crap about how the topic could be answered both ways, and mary kate just laughed and said that was "exactly what she was going to say!" what had josh gotten himself into?
mary kate might not have been the smartest fish in the pond, and lola didn't know him enough to care, but lucas definitely picked up on what was going on. he flashed a knowing smile at josh before turning to lola.
no, no, no, don't do it, josh thought, but it was too late...
