To the Skies - Pit X Reader

~ PROLOGUE ~

Country music plays in the background of the car. Your mom is in the front, driving the car. Your dad was in the passenger seat tapping his finger to the beat of the song. You sat in the back right seat, listening to the music while looking out the window, grinning.

You were grinning because today was the last day of school, and both of your parents came to pick you up. 

Your mother takes a right turn, into the freeway and starts to chat with dad. A while later, they end up bickering. You scoff and tune their argument out by paying closer attention to the music.

You continue to listen until you hear something louder than anything in the car. You hear someone's breaks, screeching getting louder. Suddenly, you hear your own car making a crashing noise as you get whiplashed forward at high speed. Your mother hits the steering wheel of your car and starts to bleed a large amount of blood. You father also gets whiplashed into the airbag, as shards of glass fly around.

The next thing you know things start to get fuzzy and white, Your ears ring and you shut your eyes.
