Chapter 9
*Jennifer's POV*
Is it okay to like two guys at the same time? I thought to myself.
I lay in my bed. The sun was barely peaking above the horizon. I had been awake for an entire day!
"Jennie?" I called her on the bed across the room.
"Hmm?" She was still asleep.
"Can I talk to you about something important?" I guess it'd be okay if I mentioned my feelings for her brother to her. Maybe she could talk me out of liking him.
"Is this about Andrew?" She automatically asked.
God. Is it really that noticeable?
"You're terrible at hiding the fact."
"Seriously? Ugh." Crap. He must think I'm really weird now. I hid my face under my blanket.
"You know he's liked you forever."
"Huh?" I popped my head back out from under the covers, "He has?"
Jennie sighed, got out of her bed, and walked past me outside her room and into her brothers. She came back seconds later with a wallet in her hand. She threw it on the spread in front of me.
"Look for yourself."
I picked up the wallet and looked inside. There were two photos in the slip of...me? Well, two Christmas photos we sent years ago! Why-what were they doing in his wallet?
Did he really like me like Jennie said?
Well, now that I think about it, ever since I came, he's been giving me these looks. A look of-lust.
Dear God.
He does like me. And I like him.
But I also like...Corey.
"What's wrong?" Jennie asked.
"Corey." I slipped the photos back into Andrew's wallet and threw it to her bedside.
"Who's Corey?" She sat straighter, her attention on me.
"This guy back at home that I really like."
"Oh? Tell me about him!"
"I liked him since the day I met him, but I met him through his girlfriend..."
"Whoa. That's not good."
"Yeah I know, but they broke up already and now, we none stop flirt with each other."
"Aww... that's cute!"
"It is, and he really cares. When I'm sad, he'll bug me till I feel better or try to make me smile. No one's ever done that for me. And I get so shy around him! But, I think he's gonna ask me out when I head back."
"Why do you say that?"
"He's been holding my hands a lot, walking me to class. I figured...you know."
"I guess you could think that. But don't get your hopes to high with him or any guy. I don't want to see you really hurt."
"I'll be careful," I said with a smile. Jennie really felt like a sister I could talk to. She's matured a lot and so fast!
