What graphics do you make?
I make Covers, Banners, Icons, Profile Pictures (they are different), thread (pure and design), I've dabbled into trailers, movie posters, magazine covers, story ads are dying out but I've made a few of those. I haven't tried book jackets or bookmarks but I'm hoping to get to that soon. Wow, that's a lot.
Whats hard about them?
Getting them too look aesthetically pleasing. Also, making sure they look like your vision. Oh and making sure they look like the requester want them to. That's so hard. Most of the time, I try to but it turns out different.
Do you like making graphics for others? Why?
Hell yes, because I love making them in general, I don't care who they're for. But also I know how I've felt when when I've got a kick ass cover so I try to make others feel like that.
What made you start making the graphics?
This girl I met on here called Bella was making graphics on Pixlr and she taught me how to manipulate a picture of an eye. This was my first proper graphic:
After this, I was hooked so I wanted to join a big group thread. The first one I joined was Zharon's design, hosted by Sharon. Both Sharon and Bella have deleted their accounts unfortunately :(
Did anyone teach you your graphics?
Bella taught me, and I got tips and tricks from different people I met. Mostly I would just spend days playing around on different editing software and worked on getting better looking graphics.
What graphics would you like to next?
Those book jackets and bookmarks. But I will always be working on perfecting my others.
Any good graphic designers you want to send a shout out to?
There's too many to shout out too. My main one to @AndyDW though, Andrea is so amazing, you don't even know. She's work hard on her portfolio so she's not on here as much but I love her. She accepted me onto Hemera, a big group thread on here and that's how I got a bit more popular.
Anything to say to graphic makers like advice?
Keep trying. Don't come here to make friends. Come here to get better and the friends and amazing designers will come along with it. Ignore everyone trippin' and fighting in the MDC, they're all wankers. Just keep doing you and when you get better, you can rub your sexy ass graphics in their faces.
