You walk into Fenris's mansion, having gotten a note from him saying he needed to talk immediately. "Hey Fenris, what's up?" You said as you waltzed into the room. "Do you remember me asking for help with writing a letter to my sister?" He asks in his deep voice, and you nod. "Yeah." "Well, after I finally convinced her it was really me I sent her coin to come to Kirkwall to meet me, but I have suspensions that Danarious might know," he continues with worry evident in his voice. "Do you want me to come with in case he does know?" You ask nervously, knowing how sore the subject was for him. "Yes, but I know you don't like Hawke and I've already got her to help, an I know you don't exactly like her," he answered, his gaze going to the floor.

Well that's putting it mildly you thought. Hawke was a mage, like yourself, except she did blood magic while you didn't, and made a few decisions you hated beyond words, but you care for the broody elf, even if you did see the world differently. You sigh looking into his large green eyes once he looked up, "I care  about your well being more than my hate for Hawke, don't worry I'll be there." He gave a small smile at your answer.

A few days later you met Hawke outside the Hangman, instantly moving to Fenris's side an offering a reassuring smile to the clearly nervous elf, whose eyes were moving around a bit more than usual, scanning the dark areas.

You followed Hawke, Fenris, Isabella, and Varric into the dank low town tavern, an immediately noticed how empty it was, which wasn't usual in the later time of the day. There was only a few drunk saliors, an a red haired elf, in the main hall. You held your old staff in your hand, trying to act casual as Fenris walked over to the other elf.

"It really is you," said the she elf as she looked at Fenris. "Varania. I - I remember you, we played in our master's  courtyard while mother worked, you called me-," he started with a ghost of a smile appearing on his face. "Leto, that is your name." She stated as she stood up, no longer looking at him. You could hear an edge of guilt in her voice, an instantly tensed.

"What's wrong, why are you so..?" he asked worry for her clear. "I'll give you three guesses," Hawke proclaimed beside him.

"Ahhh, my little Fenris, predictable as always," a old gray haired mage said as he walked down the steps with a handful of guards. Fenris's face showed complete horror, he never believed his sister could betray him. "I'm sorry it came to this Leto," his sister said eyes casted down. "YOU lead him here!" he accused her.

"Now now Fenris, don't blame your sister. She did whatever any good imperial  citizen should," Denarious said as he swayed over. "I never wanted these filthy markings, Denarious. But I won't let you kill me to get them!" Fenris growled.

"Hohoho, what little you know mypet." He chuckled. "Now this is your new mistress then, the champion of Kirkwall. Quite lovely," he complimented. "If you want him he's yours," she replied with a smile.

"What?!" Fenris and I said in unison. "Hand him back to a slaver, I..." Isabella said. You stood there in shock, your mouth wide open. The magic that previously started sparking along your fingers completely disappearing in shock.

"Interesting, I'll make it worth your while over course, the power of the imperiam will be at your disposal," Denarious bribed. "Don't do this hawke, I need you," Fenris pleaded to her, turning to face her. "Your on your own, Fenris," she stated as she took the money from the imperial mage.

"I suppose I should not be surprised," Fenris said in defeat, gaze casted down. You could only stand there, amazed that she could just hand Fenris over to the Magister. You were eager to fight them all on your own, but you knew it was futile. He was a magister, held great political power, and most likely a trained blood mage.

"What will it be Fenris? Will you throw your life away?" Danarious asked. He turned, head still down, "No, I will go with you," he answered with sorrow. "Lovely, here's a token of my appreciation, Champion. Im sure I can arrange for something more appropriate sent along soon." the magister said, as if you had given him a rare wine. "Come along everyone, the boat leaves for Minrathos within the hour," he ordered as he walked away, with Fenris walking behind in defeat along with the guards.

"HOW COULD YOU JUST TURN ON FENRIS LIKE THAT?! HE WAS YOUR FRIEND WHO WATCHED YOUR BACK!" You accused her, once they had marched out of the tavern an out of earshot.

"You expect me to fight a Tevinter Magister? Seriously?" She asked with a raised eyebrows. "You just got back from slaying a bloody dragon for Androste's sake! You could have easily killed him!" You shouted. "An why would I? If other magisters found out, do you ever understand how bad I would have been hunted? Besides, he hates our kind," she dismissed with a simple wave.

Your hands started to glow (f/c) with your magic, "That's because of damn mages like you and Danarious!" You stepped forward, raising your staff threateningly at Hawke. Just before you were about to send a flame into her face, Varric says, "Whoa! Fire isn't going to help now. We'll help you get him back," as he steps between us.

Your magic slowly dispersed as you calm down. Eventually you nod at Varric, and turn to leave with Varric and Isabella, leaving Hawke by herself.
