Adaline's P.O.V*
The next morning I woke with a pounding headache. I got up and stretched as I walked into the bathroom. Once I was done I put on my black skater dress with some black pumps. I exited my room then locked the door, I turned fast and headed towards the elevator.

It finally reached the lobby, I checked to make sure I had my wallet as I walked out. I turned on my heels and started down the stair case to the front door."Hey baby where are you goin" I turned around to see the woman from my hotel room last night. She was sitting at the bar with a cigarette in one hand and a glass of whiskey in the other. She got up and started to walk over to me swaying left and right. "Well are ya gonna answer?" She asked while chugging the rest of her drink.

"I'm just going out to look for a house,not that it's any of your business" i replied. "Oh honey I wouldn't waste your time doin that" she said followed by a loud laugh.

I chose to ignore her and turned to leave. She grabbed my wrist and pulled me to face her. "God..... you're so beautiful" she looked at my face longingly. "That is enough sally" said a voice I have never heard before. I looked at the top of the stairs and saw a man. Sally quickly released me and moved to face him. "Well, look who finally came out from the shadows" she yelled to him and started to laugh hysterically. "Yes, well it seems I have to make an appearance earlier then planned" his voice sounded very annoyed. His accent was truly one of a kind. He made his way down the stairs and walked straight to me.

"It's a pleasure to meet you miss, I am James March" he reached for my hand and kissed it. I would have blushed if I hadn't been so confused. "I'm Adaline, it's nice to meet you" I said with a tight smile. "Well I better scat before Mr. No fun has a fit" sally said before swaying over to the bar.
     "So my dear what brings you to my hotel?" I stared at him for a moment, I blinked before replying. "I just moved here and I'm looking for a house" he gave me a kind smile "well you are welcome to stay here for as long as you need" he kissed my cheek before turning and walking back up the stairs.

I stood still for a minute, playing over what just happened in my head. Finally I snapped out of my daze, I turned on my heels and left the hotel.
