Bronwyn's POV

I shifted uncomfortably and sat up, groaning. My eyes squinted to see clearly in the dark and I noticed I was outside..... what?

I didn't remember going outside........

Then it hit me. "Shit!" I hissed, remembering Marlene and the whiskey.....

Oh great. Just great.

As I went to get up, I felt a wave of nausea wash over me. I held my head as jackhammers pounded through them. Groaning, I stood shakily and leaned on the wall of the dark, dingy alley. I don't remember much from last night, only that I had gotten very drunk.

Stumbling out of the alley, I took a look around. My hair was a ratted mess and I could hear loud, drunken roars from a door not far off. Inching my way along, I peeked inside to see Marlene. She was giggling drunkenly but still serving alcohol. I guess she tossed me out of the bar for being drunk. Everyone always excludes me.

But this was one thing I was happy to be excluded from. Marlene looked like she was having a good time, and I was in no mood to interrupt her and her groupies. Shuddering I held my head and stumbled weakly into the night, wishing I was back in my ratted house with my lists.....

I was confused and lost. The street lights blinded me. I was getting a seriously dizzy sensation. The last thing I remember before my skull cracked the ground was someone running towards me. Then it all went dark...

I weakly lifted my head from the clean pillow and took a look around me. The room was white-washed, plain and bleached. I tried keeping my head up, but it wouldn't stay, so I let it fall back on the soothing pillow. My eyes darted back and forth in confusion, not knowing where I was.

This certainly wasn't my house and that thought scared the shit out of me.

Adjusting to the bright light, I moved my arms and slowly and painfully sat up. The door out of the room was propped open a bit, and I stood weakly to get out of here. Maybe if I moved fast enough, I could make it....

I was less than six feet from the door when a snort echoed across the room. Shrieking, I trembled and backed up into the far corner, my eyes fixed on the stranger sitting. Was he my kidnapper? What did he do to me? The more I thought, the more frightened I got, and I whimpered, pulling my coat... no wait..... gown? around me....
