Bronwyn's POV

I screamed and braced myself for impact. There was a squeal of brakes as either the car about to hit us or Zayn tried to avoid hitting the other. The next instant I was thrown a bit to the left where Zayn was driving as the black car hit us. The car I was in spun to the middle of the road and stopped suddenly.

Pain shot up my arm, but luckily I have dealt with pain. It didn't seem to be broken. Licking my chapped lips and glancing over, breathing heavily, I see Zayn. Oh my god. No!

He's on his side, doubled up. His face looks extremely pale and all I can think is of how the car ripped away the door on Zayn's side. There are cuts along his face, which is creased in pain, and his leg is jammed under the squished metal. Crying hoarsely, I reached for him. This was all my fault. People are always out to get me, and my horrible luck, someone was aught to get hurt.

I should have never gotten drunk. I should have never left the house.

I shouldn't have been born. I don't help anyone in anyway, and now someone is dead because of me. Or they are dying.

Sobbing, I tried to grab onto him and find  his phone in the same instant. Fingering it, I tried to remember how to call and the first contact I came across was Liam's.

"Hello?" I heard Liam ask cautiously.

"L-Liam," I sobbed. "Help! H-Help me."

"Bronwyn? What's wrong? Are you okay? Is Zayn okay?"

At the mention of Zayn I just started to cry all over again. I think, even though it was very dark out, people had noticed the accident because sirens were going off.

"Just... help...." I panicked. All I could do was repeat help over and over. I couldn't mention Zayn, or the car.

"Sirens? Do I hear sirens? Bronwyn! Stay where you are. Can you tell me what street you're on? Or where you are?" Liam asked, voice rising. I could hear the boys in the background, muttering around and trying to talk over Liam.

"Br- Bradburry Street," I choked out. Then the phone, which had a dying battery in it, well, died.

Looking over at Zayn, I grabbed his coat collar and tried to feel a pulse. Or anything to show he was alive. I felt a fluttering, and I sighed in relief. At least I didn't kill him. I might have overreacted a bit, Zayn wasn't going to die, but still.....
