"Happy birthday!!!!" My friends and family screamed which resulted to me giggling like a little girl.
"HBD Alisha" My supervisor, Mr Edward pecked me.
I looked around and smiled,being grateful was an understatement, the hall I had rented was delectably expensive, with glassy doors from roof to floor,a wide range of space, two big birthday cakes (mom baked one) and blue lights radiated everywhere.

Feeling little hands envelop my waist,I looked down at the blue eyes,midnight hair,handsome looking boy,Todd, "Happy birthday Miss Alisha and thank you for everything" he gestured that I should bend,following his instruction earned me a peck and I laughed and hugged him which made him grin.

"C,don't finish my cake,I'm the birthday lady here".
She pouted and ate another slice,admiring her sleeveless, floral, purple, mini gown,I chuckled.
She smiled and stuck her tongue out after making sure no one saw her "whatever,there's two,don't be greedy"
"Didn't know you were a cake fan" Brittany said as she nudged Carla,I smiled and gave her an half hug because her tummy was really big,I doubted it was just twins,I'm guessing quad,haa.
Carla tucked a strand of her coloured brunette hair behind her ear and glared at us as she ate another slice "heyyy,both of you shouldn't judge me" I and Brittany laughed.

I sat at the corner of the hall where cream coloured couches were arranged,stroking Todd's hair who was currently resting on my lap,I remembered how fighting for him was a lot tougher than I had imagined.

"My Lord,this lady has no evidence proving that the child was not taken care of,putting the innocent defendant which in this case is the Orphanage" The Old ragged Attorney bowed and resumed his seat. (Ragged-my own definition of him).
I was getting tired because this trial had been on for more than 5 hours and I was almost done exhausting all my evidence, but I kept the best for last as I smiled reassuringly to the handsome blue eyed boy,who looked worried and I knew that my God doesn't fail.
" Sir,I have records here with permission from my supervisor,Mr Edward approval,which shows that Todd was not taken care of,twice on the record shows that Mr Todd was terribly ill and he was just giving aspirin,may I add that it was not prescribed or seen by a doctor" this caused a huge murmur which helped boost my ego "furthermore, the government helps orphans with education,this sweet,looking boy was not in any form of schooling, being drawn back academic wise, I will not let the future of this little boy who has gone through enough damage at a tender age,go through more in the hands of an institution that's meant to help him,that's all I ask My Lord".
Smiling because I knew I had the judge in my palm,as he checked the records,he frowned more and more and refused to listen to the ragged man trying to buttress his point.
He sighed and looked at me "What would you prefer Miss Alisha Bright"
"Another institution with supervision from Mr Edward's firm for Todd" I smiled politely.
The next words was all it took to tell me that I had just won my first case ever.
"It is settled,with compensation from Upward Orphanage Institution,Mr Todd should be moved with immediate effect and under the supervision of Mr Edward's firm,Case closed".
As I took the very norm bow,I smiled and Todd hugged me tightly and Mr Edward playfully punched me "Not too bad Ali"
I pretended to be pissed "I hate that nickname with a passion" he pretended not to have heard.

"Aunt Alisha" I jumped out of my thoughts into the worried look on Todd's face "you spaced out"
"Yea sweetheart I did,I'm Okay"
He looked at me intensely then smiled and rested on my lap once more.
I looked around and smiled.
