Justin's POV, a year later
Soon, we realise after our escape, many more came out. All of them have heard of a rumour that life was better outside than in the bunker, but they were far from correct. With no medical supplies, a simple cut could be infected and kill the person who had gotten that cut.
But as more and more people came out, they also brought with them many different supplies from the bunker.
Soon, we had a village of people. We separated all the people into many categories depending on their skills. There was a Builders group, made up of strong men and women who could carry rocks for the building of houses. There was also a group consisting of less strong men and women, the Farmers. They would rear the animals that were from the wild and care for our agriculture. Another group consisted of the smarter ones, and those who were willing to learn medicine. They were the paramedics and Doctors. They would care for all the injured in the town. They would also experiment with the herbs we have to make new medical breakthroughs. I was in the medical group. While Celestyn was in the farming group.
We were a growing community. Most of us had created new families as we knew that all of us just have each other. We were a close knitted community which has no grudges with each other.
After this long, I realised that I had feelings for Celestyn all along, from leaving the bunker till now. But I was too nervous to confess, I was also scared that she would reject me. My heart was flustered. I was so confused with my love for her.
Justin's POV, while he was in the medical hut
"Justin!" I heard a cry for help, it sounded familiar yet unknown.
"Justin! HELP ME!" There it was again, it wasn't in my brain, it was real.
I rushed out of the medical hut. It was Celestyn. She fell and was bleeding. She miraculously crawled back here, but was too hurt to go into the medical hut, so she shouted for my help.
I instantly carried her into the hut, laid her down on one of the makeshift medical beds and treated her wounds. She was bleeding badly from her knee, she also had abrasions on her arm, probably from the fall as well as from crawling all the way back. She was finding more wild animals to bring back to the farm, but accidently fell while trying to get a wild hen to follow her.
Once I patched up all her wounds, I realise that it would be the perfect time to say that I love her. There was no one else except me and her. It would be perfect.
I finally gathered my courage and said, "Celestyn? I think..... I... I... Love you."
"Huh?" she said in confusion, probably due to the blood loss, or my sudden remark.
"I love you." I repeated.
"Oh, I love you too, but I have been too shy to admit." She said.
I move closer to her and give her a kiss. Then, I let her rest.
