Chapter 30 - Part Five of the Five Part Wedding Event

━━━━━━━━━

"Oh please, like you could have done any better." Leo went on as the six of us walked away from the doors. Everyone else was already sitting in their seats at the reception, while we, we just making our way there. Adam nodded.

"Uh, duh I could do better. How hard is it to write vows for someone who you've loved for so long?" He teased before taking Caitlyn's hand into his own. Caitlyn rolled her eyes.

"We're already getting married, Adam. You can stop with the mushy stuff." She teased. I smiled as we led Jannel and Leo into the large room that held the tables for the reception. The wedding had gone pretty great if I should say so myself. Well, Adam didn't forget the rings... That over exceeded my expectations. I was seriously expecting him to have left them in the glove compartment of he and Caitlyn's car... Back home in Mission Creek. But it all turned out just fine.

The crowd jumped up as the wedding party entered, all cheering as we walked over to the head table. I smiled and waved over to my dad and Amy, Chase grabbing onto my hand as the six of us sat down. It was insane to think they were married now. Just yesterday we were worried that Leo wasn't even going to show up. Actually, that was a pretty good thing to be worried about.

"Thank you all for coming." Adam called as he rose from his chair holding his up glass, signaling a toast. I smiled and held up my own glass. "I know this trip has been an emotional roller costar for me as well as the rest of you. My best friend has just gotten married for crying out loud." Adam continued as Chase squeezed my hand slightly to get my attention.

"What?" I whispered, wondering just what he could want at a time like this. He leaned in so we wouldn't interrupt the heartfelt words that were Adam Greenberg.

"Can we talk after this?" He whispered. I shook my head, pulling my hand away as the memory of what happened before the ceremony hit me again. He was was listening in on my conversation with Jannel.

"No. We need to actually focus on Leo
And Jannel for a second. It's their wedding day. Not on our... Whatever we are." I whispered back simply before Chase grabbed back onto my hand.

"Exactly Bree. What are we?" Chase whispered before dropping my hand, and the subject. I shook my head and drank at the appropriate time before Adam sat down. Dinner was served right afterwards, leaving us all to quietly listen to the clatter of silverware hitting plates.

"So... How's everyone's day going? I know mine was pretty chill-"

"Leo, I know you were going to leave because of my dad, but I forgive you because you're here now. We will talk about this later." Jannel interrupted. I smiled slightly before Adam sent a look back to Leo.

"How did you find out?" Leo asked, a shocked tone to his voice. Well he's not exactly double o seven.

"It doesn't matter. What matters is the wedding happened anyways. Now, Leo. How are you enjoying yourself?" She asked sarcastically. I bit my lip to keep from laughing before Leo replied.

"Dandy, thank you for asking." Jannel nodded before picking up her napkin and wiping something off Leo's face. They'll make a fine married couple.

"Hey." Caitlyn whispered. I nodded and turned to her.

"Yeah?" I asked quietly. It seemed slightly important considering the way she was speaking. She sighed as she leaned back in her chair.

"Could you come to the bathroom with me? I have something to tell you." She hinted. I frowned and stayed put as she stood and pushed her chair in.
