I wish I could say I awoke to birds chirping and the garderner mowing the lawn, but I would be lying. I actually awoke to shear giggles and the sound of bad guitar strumming. I shot up at the sound of Aisy saying "whoops." and then a string popping off.

"Aisy, what are you doing?" I asked as I jumped out of bed and ran over to where she was sitting criss cross on my floor. "You have your own guitar in your own room."

Aisy shook her head then continued to try to play. "No I don't. Mommy and Daddy took it away because I accidentaly broke it."

I sighed and said, "Well why do you wanna break mine? I actually play mine every day. This is a Martin Aisy. Daddy got me this for my birthday last year."

Apparently it didn't phase her that I wanted her to quit playing it. I was going to have to fix the one string that had already popped off, how about the other five?

"Do you wanna come down and eat breakfast with me?" I asked her. Anything to get her to put my guitar down. "Maybe Momma will make us some pancakes."

She shook her head once again and said, "I wanna sit here and play more. You go eat."

I groaned and thought about yanking the guitar out of her hand, but decided against it. I didn't want another repeat of what happened the other day with the ice cream. Every time she doesn't get her way she screams for Daddy...he always comes to the rescue. Maybe its because she's the baby out of all of us or maybe its because she was born two months premature and she had to have her heart shocked back into rythm. Who knows, but Daddy is very over-protective of her. I walked out of my room, down the stairs and into the kitchen. Daddy was trying to fix coffee from the keurig and Momma was doing exactly what I thought she would be doing...making pancakes. I smiled as I sat down at the table playing candy crush saga on my iphone.

I didn't look up as Daddy planted a kiss on my head.

"Candy crush mornin, huh?" He asked as he sat down beside of me.

I nodded and said, "Yeah but it's getting old. I can't beat this level."

He laughed and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Did you wake Aisy up this morning?" He asked.

I shook my head and replied, "More like she woke me up. She was and probably still is sitting in my room tearing up my Martin. I got woke up by the sound of her strumming too hard and one of my strings popped off."

"Maisy, what are we going to do about her getting into everything?" Daddy asked. "We can't just let her tear up Annabelle's guitar."

"Did you have it in the case?" Momma asked me.

"Yeah, it was locked in the case." I replied. "But it doesn't help that she knows how to open it. She's ten but she acts like a five year-old."

"I am sure she just wants to spend time with you and Jackson." Momma explained as she set a plate of three pancakes down in front of me.

I laughed and said, "Yeah, I am sure that's what she wants."

"You were ten once." Momma said.

"I was ten and I was obsessed with music. I wasn't obsessed with taking everything that doesn't belong to me." I said.

"I'll take care of your Martin." Daddy said reassuringly. "Just try to spend some time with her, and see how she does. Your relationship with Jackson is fine, I don't understand why you are so distant with Aisy."

I groaned again. Uggh, that's what my life has come to...groaning. Why can't they just forbid her from coming into my room anymore? Oh well, maybe if I do spend some time with her she will learn not to mess with my things.

"Eat your pancakes." Momma said as she sat down beside of me. "We've gotta stop by the school and register you and your brother for your classes."

I felt the life drain out of my body as I heard the words school and classes. Don't get me wrong, I liked school. But school was filled with bullies, bullies who tortured you if you did something out of the ordinary like study for once in your life. I actually cared about my education. I took a couple of bites of my pancakes and then pushed the plate aside.

"Can't I just write down the classes I want to take and you can go regsiter for me?" I asked as I laid my head down on the counter.

"Come on Annabelle, dont you want to see your friends? What's so wrong with going to school for a couple of hours?" Momma asked.

"Everything!" I yelled. "I just don't want to be around any of them until I absolutely have to."

Momma and Daddy didn't know the half of it. I had been bullied ever since I had started high school. The only person who knew was Jackson, but I made him swear on his life that he wouldn't tell a soul. Daddy used to tell me how he really didn't have friends growing up because of getting teased for his love for music. Yes, I was in glee club and band and maybe drama and even student government. Yes, I was a nerd.
