Draco's POV

I sit in the common room, ice pack on my nose. And it fucking stings.

Sitting up, my eye catches Zabini's and find that he is smirking at me. It's obvious he's trying not to laugh. Wand pointed directly at him, I growl, "Want to continue?"

He does, and replies, "You got beaten up by a girl! Hermione Granger at that, how can I not laugh?"

I grumble and turn away, too pissed off to talk. Granger is going to pay. I just don't know how yet.

Nott walks into the room and bursts out laughing.

"Mate, what happened to your face?" He asks, smirking at the ice pack resting on my nose. I glare in return and Zabini fills him in.

"He got punched by Granger!"

"Ha, you got beaten up by a gi-"

"Fuck off, Nott."

I groan as I lean foward; She has the best punch of anyone at this school. I've experienced it twice now. That, or the fact I have an extremely low pain tolerance. I finger the Dark Mark on my arm and sigh; I will never truly be part of good as I will always have a piece of evil engraved on to my arm by dark magic.

Dumping the ice pack, I stand up and walk out of the dungeon. I need to find her...

Hermione's POV

I glance over Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, extremely impressed by the magical creatures. From what I've heard, it would take ages to map out the whole of Newt Scamanders life. Maybe, I dunno, five movies?

I notice a particular red head standing in front of me and my eyes snap up to meet the amber orbs of Ginny's Weasly. A smile stretches across my face as I stand up and hug her.

"Hermione!" She laughs, her scarlett hair matching the exact shade of red that Gryffindor represents.

"What's up, Gin?"

"Its almost Christmas and you're up here studying! Who does that?" She pulls a disgusted face, disapproval outlining her pale, freckled face.

"Sorry! After everything that has happened over the past year, studying reminds me of my old self and peace."

She smiles as she tells me, "There's an unexpected visit to hogsmeade this afternoon; join me and Harry?"

I nod, grinning at her. She was definitely my best girl friend. I just can't imagine the guilt I would feel if Ginny's life was lost at the Battle of Hogwarts for us, the golden trio who have extremely close links with her. Harry being her lover, Ron being her brother and her being one of my best friends.

We walk out of the common room, chatting about school work. We are in the same classes now so it's easier to do so. Laughing, I look up and then freeze. The grey stare of Draco Malfoy meet my gaze.

"Granger," he greets, a smirk turning up a corner of his lips, "Weaslette."

Ginny's just rolls her eyes at him and crosses her arms across her chest. "What do you want, ferret?"

Draco turns to me with a grimace on his face. "I need a favour."

"Whatever is it, Malfoy?" I ask impatiently, tapping my foot against the smooth, polished floor of the corridor.

And that was then he leant down and kissed me in front of Ginevra Weasley.
