New Life

My parents just got arrested. My brother and I are on a plane to North Carolina. It’s the week after Christmas and me and Jayce we’re on our Christmas break still. I’m excited that I can go to a normal high school but I’m going to miss all my other friends. Jayce seems really excited to go to a normal high school. At my old high school I didn’t have to hide my Angel wings or abilities. Or what I have of my abilities so far. Neither my brother nor I know many of our powers. One reason why we’re going to my aunt and uncles, they and their kids are professional angels. They could teach us everything in a heartbeat. It would probably take a lot of time, but Jayce and I are willing to do it. My aunt and uncle we're king and queen of the angels, they lived in the human world and in the angel world, Asher was next in line for the throne. They also were good at fighting and such. The pilot came on the intercom, “Please fasten your seat belts we are coming into a landing very shortly.” The pilot said then the seat belt lights came on. “Arent you excited Bri?” Jayce asked me. “Of course I am, I just am going to miss my friends” I said smiling at Jayce. “Don’t worry, everything will be fine.” He smiled back and grabbed my hand trying to comfort me. I nodded at him and leaned my head on his shoulder. Jayce and I we’re really close since we shared some pain our parents gave us.  No one ever noticed we we’re abused because we healed very quickly. The plane started to make loud noises which hurt my ears.

   “Ugh…” Jayce groaned and grabbed some gum. He started chewing on it and I grabbed one piece too.  Stupid plane engines. When we landed we got the stuff from the top of our seats. “Remind me again…Why didn’t we just fly?” Jayce asked, “Because we didn’t want to blow our cover.” I said holding my head.  We started walking to the bag claim and saw my cousins. I screamed and ran towards them. “Jenna!  Asher!” I said running and hugging both of them. “Hey guys!” they both said. Asher and Jayce did that brofist thing. “Let’s get your bags then go home” Asher said, he put his arm around my shoulders in a brother sister way.  Jayce and Jenna did the same. It felt good to be with my family.

1 hour later

    “Stupid baggage claim. “ I groaned. Our bags got on the wrong flight and we stood there for about 45 minutes until we got our bags.  “I know” Jenna said, “How do you put luggage on the wrong flight?” Asher said groaning. “Sorry guys” I said, “Good thing your worth it or we would have left” Jenna said laughing. “Welcome home guys.” Asher said. I sighed a little as I got out of the car and grabbed my luggage. I was kind of nervous about everything Jenna must of noticed my nervousness.  “Don’t worry” she said putting an arm around my shoulders smiling. I smiled back as we made our way up to the big house. Asher opened the door and yelled “THEIR HERE!”. All of the sudden I heard footsteps and last thing I knew Kena their dog tackled me. She started licking my face and I laughed. I’ve always wanted a dog but my parents didn’t like dogs.  Jenna started laughed and was cut off by my aunt and uncle. “Guys! You’re here! “ my aunt Darby and uncle Gio said. “Hey! Thanks for letting us come here.” I said hugging both of them really tight. “Sweetie you and your brother are welcome anytime. You guys are like our kids” my uncle said placing a kiss on my forehead.  My eyes watered a little, my uncle Gio was always like a dad to me and my aunt Darby was like my mom, Jenna and Asher were like my brother and sister. “Awh, don’t cry little sister!” Asher said. I felt like I was…Home.
