My mind began to fill with two girls. One with long wavy dirty blonde hair, and the other with scarlet red hair. Their eyes were different as well, one with emerald eyes and the other with sapphire blue ones. Besides that, they look exactly the same.

Is this what Willow and I look like?

Next thing I know, I‘m placed in front of a full length mirror. My reflection stares back at me, but she was dressed differently. My reflection wore a beautiful forest green ball gown, her long wavy hair was in a waterfall braid, allowing her to wear a beautiful tiara that looked like leaves upon her head. In the middle of the tiara lays a beautiful emerald in the shape of fire.

I stare at her, moving my hands towards my face. She mimics me, following my every move. Every slight move I made she would copy me. Finally, I move a hand towards the mirror, and she follows me. When I touch the mirror, I feel her hand meet mine. I make eyes contact with her and all she does is smile back at me.

“Who are you?” I ask her.

Her smile grows wider, as if I asked the world’s silliest question. “I am you,” she replies.

And just like that, she disappears.

“Wait! Come back!” I yell into the dark abyss.

Then I feel something heavy on my head. My hand reluctantly reaches up to my head, just for my fingers to meet something cold and metallic. I pull off the mysterious object, just to find the crown that she was wearing in my hand. I gasp, letting the crown slip from hand and clatter to the floor. I look down at it just to realize that I’m wearing the same ball gown as her. It wraps around my body, hugging me perfectly. What the heck is going on?

I back up into a corner, scared out of my wits end. Sinking down to the floor, I place my head between my knees trying to grasp everything. My heart was racing as fear and shock took over my body.

Someone began to approach me, but I didn’t dare move. I saw another ball gown from the corner of my eyes, watching the figure pick up the crown. They continue to walk towards me, letting me cower in fear.

When they bent down in front of me, I lift up my head to realize it was the other girl. The one with sapphire eyes. The one who looks exactly like me.

“Hey Cadence, you dropped this?” She says so nicely. “I thought this tiara was your favorite one.”

I look straight at her as confusion takes over my features. I look over her features over and over, trying to figure out who she really looks like (beside me). “M-my name is-isn’t Cadence,” I finally stutter. I feel like I should know her from somewhere. “I’m Constance.”

She stares at me for a moment, then begins to laugh. Amusement takes over her face, as if I told the funniest joke in the world. “Okay Princess Cadence,” She says still laughing at me. “Whatever you say, but here’s your tiara.” She places it upon my head once more, and it still felt as heavy as ever.

“Princess?” I question.

“Yes! You’re my sister! My twin sister as a matter of fact! Our parents are rulers of the shifter kingdom? I swear sometimes I think you’re looney, but eh, what do I know? I’m pretty crazy myself.” She looks at me once more, obviously noticing my confusion still clearly on my face. “Come on, I’m Minani, how can you not remember?”

Then that’s when it all clicks. Memories began rushing towards me. I look at her, deeply this time, and a small word came out of my mouth. This one word has so much meaning, and now it all makes sense.

“Willow.”

I wake up Willow’s voice.

“Not that it matters, she is waking up,” She grumbles to someone.
