A/N: Yes, yes, yes! There's a part 2! :D Have I been keeping you in suspense? >:)
(Blah, I know only about 2 people read this faithfully. (Thankyu MissTomorrow! :D))
Yes, I know the park in this chapter is fake.
Sorry the chapter is so short... I just felt like it was urgent to put something up, in thanks for 1,000 reads on SeMi. Thank you all for your support!! :)
Oh, and, I added some music. It's from one of my FAVORITE pianists EVER (I'm a hardcore pianist. Could you tell? xD), and I feel like it just fits this scene so well... so I really suggest you listen as you read to get the full effect :D Okay, bai nao.
"The present contains nothing more than the past, and what is found in the effect was already in the cause."
- Henri Bergson
The concert was over. As all the ecstatic fans escaped the grand stage, SeMi and SuJu snuck backstage and began changing back into regular clothes. While my makeup was being removed, a ping came from my phone.
[To:Rinhan : Sat Jan 28 ; 11:12PM]
It's Mari. I think we might need to talk. You free to break some rules of SM management?
[To:Mari : Sat Jan 28 ; 11:13PM]
As always. Where?
[To:Rinhan : Sat Jan 28 ; 11:13PM]
Behind the stadium. I'm at the bench next to the old willow tree. Meet me ASAP
"Hey, whatcha doing?" Misun popped out of nowhere, grabbing the chair I sat on.
I quickly pressed the menu button, hiding the texts. "Nothing. Nothing important."
She raised a brow. Curses, why must the one who can easily decipher feelings and lies be the one who had found me? The world is against me.
"Tell me," she whispered, hand cupped over my ear and her lips. "That is, if you're fine with that."
I sighed with regret. How easy it would be to simply dump my burden on maknae Misun. But I didn't want anyone else worrying for my sake. It was my problem. "I can't tell you, Misunnie. I just can't."
She appeared disappointed, but answered quietly, "I understand. Just tell me when anything goes wrong." Gee, if she had any idea just how much had gone wrong already... But I couldn't blame it on Alois, as I had always done. This time, every horrific, heart-tearing event was my fault. Worse, I didn't know what to do.
As soon as the last speck of eyeshadow was wiped clean off, I changed. I couldn't risk anyone seeing me outside in my vibrant Questions and Answers outfit. I would either:
A. Get pummeled by lingering fans,
B. Be questioned to my breaking point by fellow SeMi members, or
C. Get fired.
Harsh, huh? I think they'd come in a special package, all wrapped together, those three options.
I reviewed the well-stitched fabric, admiring its sharp black and white pattern, before I packed it up into its case, hid its startlingly good looks. I had been recognized by Mnet for having the most glamourous outfit of SeMi for Questions and Answers, and strangely, it saddened me a little that as soon as I walked off the stage, I had to hide the outfit again and again. It was ironic, really, considering one of my most well-known quotes to my Reflections. "Talent and beauty are gifts, not simplicities of life, and are meant to be shared."
