When I entered kitchen I'm all fired up from the sense in front of me. Mom is sitting on the floor while her face is bury in her hands and sobbing uncontrollably. In a matter of second I was kneeling beside her and take her small figure in my embrace. Her height is not more than 5 FT and 3 inch while mine was 5 FT and 8 inch. I have gotten my height from my father.

From side way glance I saw dad is inching closer to us slowly. I raise my hand in gesture to stop him in the place where he is but he doesn't get the message as he keep on coming closer.

"Don't come any near dad." I say while voice is calm. Dangerously calm.

"Moon flower." He called out my nickname given by him and only he call me this. He give me name saying that when I was small child I guess 3 to 4 years old I always used to wait for night because he say that I love to see moon, stars the night sky and that my eyes used to shine when I look at them. So he give me this name saying my whole face specially my eyes use to glow at night just like that flower glows at night.

He take one more step closer to us.

"I said stop right where you are. I don't want you near us when you have got germs of that bitch on your cloths and body." I say through gritted teeth. I was only one point away in losing my shit right now.

"Mind you language Amelia." He says my full name and I know that he is angry with me because he only call me by my name when he is angry. But right now I don't care.

"I don't give a damn about my language right now. All I know is you broke our promise one again and also broke mom to all new extend." I say and close my eyes to control myself from snapping at him.

"Mom come let's take you to bed." I say to mom in soft voice. Her small body keep on shaking from her crying. I make her stand but she free her from my hold and said,

"I want to be alone for a while Ami. I promise I will take care of myself." She add when she see me open my mouth to argue. I give her tight nod after that she leave to go to her room.

"Ami I will be in room next to yours." She informed me and then she is gone. I know that it is better to leave her alone for some time. I will go to her sometime later in the evening till then I know she will be in better state of mind.

"Moon flower please listen to me." My dad pleading voice stop me from going out from kitchen.

"What do you want me to listen? That why did you cheat on her? Why you hurt her? Why you break promise you have made with me and her?" I span at him at last.

"Moonf-"he start but I cut him off.

"What explanation do you have on why did you cheat on her? If you don't love her any more than at least tell her that so that she can leave you for once for all. Why two are still together when there is nothing left in your heart for her? Why are you hurting her more that she is already her? Why do you want her to be broken?" I stop to take breathe and says,

"Why don't you two get a divorce?" I shout in anger. My heart hurts for saying that. It's like there is heavy stone on my heart making it difficult to breathe but I can't keep on seeing her in so much pain.

"Amelia how can you say such thing? I love your mother. I can't live without her." He say in disbelief.

"But you can certainly live with hurting her and killing her slowly." I clap and let out a humorless laugh.
