Chapter-29: It's rude to stare at people

           

"Amelia's POV"

I don't know where he is taking me and I didn't ask him because I know that my question will go unanswered. So here am I sitting on passenger seat of his car looking out to the beauty of Seattle.                                          

"Do you want something to eat?" He asked and I don't know if it is my imagination or want but his voice sounded little hoarse.

I turn to him and see him shifting in his seat few second later he clear his throat.

"Are you okay?" I asked instead of answering is question. He is behaving weird.

"Yeah." And clear his throat once again. "Do you want to eat something?" He questioned once again.

Shaking my head to clear my head I answered,

"Not now."

"Okay let's make a stop at Walmart and purchase something to eat later on like potato chips." He suggested and I nodded.

"Okay." I agreed.

After making stop at the Walmart that was on the way to where we are going which I don't know till yet. God I hate suspense but it look like not all the thing go according to us.

Asher stops the car and unfastened his seatbelt and make a move to get out. When I saw him coming to my side of car to open door for me I just spring out of the car before he can come to my side. I can open my door fine by myself Thank you so much.

He give me look and I return it with a look daring him to question my action he just huff out a breath in annoyance. After our little eye to eye conversation I take in my surrounding only to find out I'm in front which look like starting of woods.

"Look if you are planning on murdering me then you are going to fail because it is not easy to kill me." I warn him. That was the first thought that come into my mind.

He bring me almost outskirt of town to woods what do you accept me to think of this when he doesn't told me where he is taking me.

"No, I'm not going to kill you. So just shut up and follow Me." and take a step towards woods.

"Do you seriously thought that I will willingly go into that with you where you can do anything without anyone knowing it?"

"Are little Amelia is scared?" he talked to me in a voice like he is talking to child. He think I'm scared? Who do he think calling little?

I raise my brows in challenge and he raise his return.

"Let's go." I commanded and charge towards woods/forest.

"I think you should let me lead the way because I'm the one who knows path to destination." He suggested form behind. He got a point there so I stop from taking another step silently asking him to go ahead and LEAD the way.

1.      Stupid

2.      Arrogant

3.      Jerk

Let's see what is that you want to show me. When he was crossing me I discover that he taken the bag of snacks that we purchased while on the way here.

Well add presence of mind in list I made before.

We continue walking in silence. I nothing to talk about and I think that he doesn't have anything to say either. I love this silence. In a place where we are surrounded by the trees, some roots them have able to escape from the underneath ground onto the surface of earth to enjoy cool air and rays of sun.
