My breath caught in my throat. What the hell was he doing? I walk out of the bathroom, and boom, I'm being pushed against a wall.

"Andy..." I trailed off. His bright eyes pierced through mine and I felt my heart sink. My cheeks flushed and I focused away from Andy's face. He took his two finger tips and pushed my chin up.

"You're still cute when you blush," he repeated for the third time. His lips pressed against mine, soft at first. I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to be hooking up with someone the third day I've known them. Andy then decided to deepen the kiss, and that's when I felt the tears fall down my cheek. Right now, all I could think about was Jacky. There was a gasp and we both jerked away from each other. Jacky was standing there. Just staring. The hurt in his eyes was unbearable.

"Jacky, I-"

"Save it." He cut me off, his voice trembling a little bit.

"Why are you crying?" Andy asked, completely oblivious. He placed his hand on my arm, but I pushed him off and ran out of the bus. I heard him calling after me, but I didn't listen. I ran headlong into our bus and straight into Ronnie and I's room. I collapsed straight into the bed and sobbed for who knows how long.

--

I woke up and saw sun shining through the small window and lighting up the room. All of the grief from the night before returned with just as much force. I looked around the room and saw Ronnie's bed was made and he was gone. I picked up my phone and saw a text from Miranda. 'start out the day with breakfast? i know a great place in town!' I knew that I couldn't lay in bed all day and wallow in self pity, so I responded, 'sure! give me half an hour' I made my way out of bed and found a pair of black leggings, vans, and an old hoodie Ronnie gave me. I put my hair in a high ponytail and lightly did my makeup. When I walked into the living room, the band was watching Home Alone.

"Ronnie, I'm going out with an old friend before we leave," I said, avoiding eye contact with the emotionless Jacky.

"Who?" Ronnie questioned.

"Her name is Miranda. I was friends with her before my par- before she moved," I stopped myself from saying before my parents started beating me. He nodded and I walked out of the bus. A small Honda was out front. There was a girl sitting in the front seat, and when she saw me, she beamed and got out of the car. "Oh my god, Logan!" Miranda ran towards me and I was then greeted with a giant hug. She pulled away and smiled. Something was totally off with her, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Her hair was way thinner than I remember, and her bright green eyes were now a soft grayish color. She was always thin, but she looked even skinnier.

"I've missed you!" I said, breaking away from my thoughts.

"I missed you too!" Miranda smiled. We got in her car and drove to find breakfast.

--

"So who's this 'Ronnie' you spoke of?" Miranda asked while eating pancakes. I had picked at the eggs and bacon on my plate.

"It's a very... It's a bizarre story," I laughed.

"Well, go ahead, talk!" She said. I explained everything. From my parents, to the foster home, then to Ronnie. "Oh shit. Man, I'm so sorry about your parents," Miranda said quietly.

"No it's okay. But now, the only troubles I'm having are boy troubles," I laughed again.

"Tell me everything." I then spilled everything that's happened with Jacky and Andy.

"Well Andy seemed like he just rushed everything. If I were you, I'd try talking to Jacky and apologizing to him," Miranda suggested.

"Yeah, I probably should. But you know how emotional I've always been. I'll end up saying one word and just start crying," I explained. Miranda looked past me and got a devious look on her face.

"What?" I questioned.

"Nothing. Just that waiter is pretty cute," she jerked her head in the direction of the waiter. I almost laughed out loud. The kid had curly red hair, freckles, and just spilled four sundaes on his uniform. I looked back at Miranda and we both bursted out laughing. After our laughter subsided, Miranda said, "so tell me about Jacky. What do you think of him? Like, what's so great about the kid?"

"What's not to like? I mean, he's absolutely amazing. And I feel terrible for what he saw. I didn't know Andy would come on so strong like that. I literally walked out of the bathroom and was pushed against a wall. The whole time I thought of Jacky. And you know, what it would be like to kiss him," I laughed at the last part. Miranda's smirk deepened as she looked past my shoulder. I finally gave up and turned around.
