He was following me, I knew he was. I could hear his feet against the cold hard pavement, but I couldn't see his maniacal body. I just kept running, running into nowhere. There was nothing around me; just darkness. I tripped over something, and rolled onto the ground. Panic arose in me, it felt as if my chest was being crushed by a steamroller. The tears were falling freely from my eyes.
Then I saw him. A crazed look in his eyes as he neared me. He pulled out a knife and I let out a bloodcurdling scream.
"Logan!" A voice said.
"Logan, wake up!"
"Logan, please, open your eyes!" The voice now desperately yelled.
Then my eyes shot open and I gasped for air. My tear stained cheeks an indicator that I was dreaming...it was just a dream. I let out a shaky sigh of relief and felt myself being pulled into someone's arms. I immediately stiffened up, but when I heard, "shh, it's just me. You're okay." I relaxed and looked up at Jacky.
"J-Ja" I tried choking out, but instead a sob escaped my mouth and I just cried into his chest.
I don't know how long I cried for, but once I finally stopped, I backed away from the man next to me.
"I am so s-sorry," I stuttered, avoiding his piercing blue eyes.
"Logan.. Does this..does this happen often?" He asked, clearly concerned. In all honestly, this happened almost every night. I nodded, trying to calm the trembling nerves inside. Jacky pulled me back into his embrace and rubbed circles in my back, trying to comfort me.
"What happened? In your dream, I mean," he asked softly.
"I-I was being c-chased. By my d-dad," I replied, holding back the tears threatening to spill out.
"Well you aren't. He won't be able to hurt you anymore, okay? Not while the guys and I are here. Hell, Chase even has a backbone, she'd beat the shit out of him too," Jacky laughed lightly. I appreciated his attempts to make me feel better, but I couldn't help but feel guilty for waking him.
"Jacky, I am really sorry," I looked up at him.
"Don't be. I'm here for you, you know that, right? I'm not going to leave you. I promise." And with that, he leaned down and kissed me. I was shocked at first, but soon returned the favor with slightly more force. I felt him chuckle, but he ended up pulling me closer into his chest. Things got a little heated when he started trailing his lips down my neck, but a thud outside the room forced us to pull away. I looked at the clock beside my bed, and it was 10:24 in the morning.
"Oh, shit," I said, getting out of bed.
"Don't gooooo," Jacky whined.
"Jacky we leave in an hour to go Christmas shopping!" I snapped, "I need to get ready, out!" I pointed to the door.
"You can still get ready while I'm here," Jacky wiggled his eyebrows at me. I glared at him and continued to point at the door.
"Fine, fine," he got up and slapped my ass when he passed me. I scoffed at him, but before I could say anything, he spun around and pressed his lips against mine one more time. He then bear hugged me, clearly stalling. I looked up at him and smiled, leading him on a bit. I brought my mouth up to his cheek and lightly kissed the side of his face.
"Leave," I whispered in his ear, backing away with an evil smirk. He groaned and yelled, "you're such a fucking tease!"
I laughed and opened the door for him to exit. He turned around to say something, but I shut the door in his face.
