Both stood, wands raised and pointed at each other, on the Duelling Platform-- an elevated area in the middle of the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom. All eyes of Gryffindor and Slytherin stared fixedly on the brothers.
Regulus looked at Sirius, unsure; Sirius glared back.
"I'll hex you," he said as despair filled him. Dreadful, he tightened his grip on his wand.
"Not if I hex you first," said Sirius, raising his wand to level with Regulus's chest. There was almost no recognition in Sirius's voice
