I glance over at my phone buzzing on the passenger seat. I'm in a rush to my new job and Verity has been spamming my phone all morning to make sure I am up and on time for my first day there. She is my best friend and already works for the same company. I probably only got the job because of her; seeing as she put in a good word for me after I'd been to an interview there.
I am torn from my thoughts as I pull round the corner at the office block. I begin scanning the car park for a space, it seems so busy which gives me a nervous feeling at the bottom of my stomach- I hate that feeling. I notice a space that someone is reversing out of, I give them space to get out as I flick my indicator on. I wait a few moments before a black range rover comes speeding dangerously quickly round the corner. It annoys me so much when I see idiots like that on the driving around. How are they even allowed on the road? I cuss under my breath and observe the car closely. There is definitely a young looking guy in there. He cuts straight in front of me and into the space I'd waited for, as soon as the man in the other car is out of the way. The son of a bitch. I swing open my car door and clamber out, I'm going to give this dickhead a piece of my mind. He gets out of his vehicle and I can see him fully now. He looks around my age, or maybe slightly older. Probably in his twenties. His light brown hair is styled slightly to one side and the proud look on his face makes me feel ill. His white t-shirt shows off the array of tattoos that are littering his skin, I don't even think it is warm enough to be out in a top like that without a jacket.
"Do you realise I was waiting for that space?!" I snap, walking towards him. He looks up and rolls his eyes.
"I realise, but I don't care." He states rudely and turns to walk away. I can't believe how rude this boy is, and I say 'boy' intentionally. He isn't behaving like a man so I think boy is the perfect word. Immature, idiotic, and certainly ignorant.
"Don't walk away from me you prick!"
My insult only results in him laughing and continuing to walk.
I can't believe it. People these days literally have no manners whatsoever. I fight the urge to run after him only because it would make me late and that wouldn't be good on the first day.
I get back into my car. It's very tiny compared to the large blacked out one that stole my space.
I drive to the other end of the car park and find a space, now I have to walk so much further, and I don't do walking. I fumble around in my handbag searching for the staff parking badge the company mailed me earlier this week. Everyone has to have one to park here. It's the policy, or something. I find it and place it on the dashboard, ensuring it doesn't go flying when I slam the door shut. This has ruined my day.
"I brought tea and hot chocolate- because I know you hate tea. But you can have It if you want. Take your pick." My friends familiar voice calls from the other side of the car park cheerily. I turn around to find her there, dressed smartly in this pencil skirt, some kind of pastel pink blouse and heels. Her long brown hair falls all in her face. She is wearing two of my most hated things. The colour pink and a skirt. I wouldn't be seen dead in either of them but it looks nice, it suites her.
"Thanks.."
I take the steaming paper cup from her and fake a smile. I know for sure that Verity will suss something is up within the next ten seconds.
" Did someone get out of the wrong side of bed this morning?" She coos, right on cue. "Now, what's the matter?"
"Let me tell you. I arrived here today and some dickhead stole my parking space. I sat and waited for it as well. And then, the cocky twat was rude to me afterwards. I just had to remind myself that it probably wouldn't be a wise move taking on a fully grown man twice my size. That's all, but you know what? He was practically screaming 'slap me' and I sooo wanted to. Maybe I'll hire someone to smash his stupid fucking Range Rover to pieces." I rant and I am not sure how much of that my friend actually caught, seeing as I'm so angry I'm speaking at an unknown speed to man. I point out his car as we wander past it and joke about what I would love to hire someone to do to it. But I won't, because, I don't do breaking the law. Well, maybe I can make an exception.
