"Excuse me. Have you seen Mr. Winchester?" I approached the secretary typing away at her computer. She didn't acknowledge me and continued to murder the keyboard's keys. I cleared my throat and spoke a little louder. "Excuse me. Is Mr. Sam Winchester in?" her icy blue eyes snapped to me, attempting to intimidate me and failing miserably. Suppressing an eye roll, I blinded her with the biggest smile I could muster without it looking forced. She mockingly threw one back and spoke in a sneer tone.
"He would like to not be bothered right at this moment. So how about you take your-" her speech was interrupted by Sam's threatening figure looming over her small frame. His voice dropped an octave as he gave her a stern face and ushered me into his main office. The face he threw her way was so frightening that even I cringed a little. To be honest, she deserved it. I allowed my eye roll to break loose as I gave a gigantic smile as I strode into his office, him closing the door behind us.
My eyes scanned over the hard oak frames that withheld the bookshelves, cabinets, desks, coffee table, and his end tables. My interest was intrigued by the colorful spindles belonging to books belonging in multiple genres. Nonfiction. Horror. Mystery. Comedy. Thriller. Action. Romance. A certain book caught my eye as I carefully pulled it from the shelf, hearing a chair creak as Sam sat behind his desk. I hid my smile and suppressed a laugh as I walked towards the front of his desk with the book hidden behind my back. His hazel-colored eyes snapped to me as his lips formed words. "What do you have there?" a smile formed on my lips as my right arm flew in front of me, holding the book's cover for his eyes to see. His face turned a bright red as he cleared his throat and straightened in his chair. "You know, I was just holding that for someone," his voice slightly cracked at the unfitting novel in my hand. I nodded my head playfully as I sat in one of the two cushioned chairs in front of his desk, swinging my left leg over my right. My fingers flipped through the novel as I subtly looked at Sam trying to busy himself in his work, reading through a manila folder. I turned the book over, so my eyes could skim over the description of the plot.
"Who would've known that THE Sam Winchester read Fifty Shades of Grey before I did? Is it good?" my brown eyes popped open to grab his attention. He halted his actions and glanced at me, pulling one eyebrow over the other. I gave him a sincere smile, showing him that I wasn't mocking him, and he closed the folder and folded his hands on top of said object.
"You could say that it's interesting," his voice broke the silence that settled around us. I gave him a quick nod as I opened the novel to page one. Showing no interest in Sam at the moment, his figure changed forms in my peripheral vision as I assumed he continued his work. While still engaged in the novel, I rose and distractingly paced to the couch and threw my body upon the leather surface. I turned on my right side so I was facing the spacious room and continued to read the novel shamelessly, quickly intrigued by the novel.
"When I arrive at the hotel, I walk through the lobby dragging my heavy heart behind me. I turn when I hear my name being called and watch one of the uniformed staff members scuttling toward me, her arm waving in the air to draw my attention.
"Ms. Steele, I'm glad I caught you. Your room has been upgraded. The rest of your party has already been moved. She's-"
My reading in chapter three was interrupted by whistling from a certain man with a tan. I looked to see which page I was stopped on and closed the book, sitting up while looking for my distractor. His name was Dean Winchester. "What?" I asked innocently, acting as if the novel was pure white light. He smirked and shook his head, sitting in front of his brother and leaning forward and whispering something to him. My attention was turned to the Winchesters as Dean stood to leave Sam's office, tossing me a wink on the way out. Sam rose and marched behind Dean, but stopped when he reached the empty spot in front of me, nervously wiping his hands on his suit. Worriedly, I stood, and asked, "What's the matter?" His hazel eyes snapped to me as he stalked towards me, a smirk crossing over his features. Before I knew what hit me, his lips crashed onto mine, hungrily taking my lips hostage.
