i ran and ran
my heart pounding
like as if
it was about to explode.
appa would be so pleased
with my first task
but i felt like
the whole world was going to come down hard.
tears blurred my vision
i felt bad
bad for the child
who stood at the door.
i felt horrible
for killing his parents
at my appa's request
and my selfishness.
i turned left onto the next street
the tall building in sight
it shone dimly
with a ragged vibe.
my pounding heart beat against my ears
i took the lift up
to the 7th floor
where my fate awaited.
the lift smell
hit my nose
as i wiped
my beads of sweat.
"ting~" went the lift bell
the doors opened
and air con
blasted through the doors.
despite running a loan shark business
my appa was filthy rich
super rich
to be super generous.
he left my omma and noona
when i was only 6
now conquering seoul with him
as the largest loan shark company.
now at 17 i stand
i want to stop
its supposed to be
my first year in college.
i want to lead my life
as i dreamt of
ever since i found out
how cruel of a man my appa was.
the boys in his room
whom i call my brothers
they were all adopted
from orphanages that they hated.
fooling around were they
as i walked up
to the man
seated in the chair.
