I took his hand and we jumped together. You know at the books or at the movies when they close their eyes and the jump to get somewhere it's impossible to reach? Well, i didn't. I kept my eyes open, wide open. When i looked down i wasn't terryfied, instead the view was unparalleled. But what was more wonderful even than that, it was seeing Ed jumping next to me. His face was lighted slightly by the lights under us. He was smilling like he had a long time to do something so good. We landed on the track and i looked back to the building. It wasn't so difficult after all. We sat next to each other and observed without talking. For a while.
-This is beautiful. i said. -Yeah, i know. -So are you planning to move back here when you become an adult? -Well that's too far into the future but i would like to. I guess. I mean this view is all i got left from the time before my dad died. This and my friends. i looked at him but he didn't. He was obviously trying not to cry. -Change of the subject. Why,..... you know, why did you bring me here? he turned to face me.-Why not? Anna, i feel for you. We have gone through the same situations. More or less. -Yeah except i wasn't in a gang. he laughed -Yeah. he made a large pause before he talked.-Anna, i believe you are the only person who can really understand me. Right now there are not many people like you in my life. Actually no one. So i would like to keep them/you close. I can help you get over your dad's death. And i feel like you are the only one who i can talk to about all these staff. About my father, about my life before i moved to Ilnois and about my life after it. i looked him and i really wanted to hug him. The way his face was lighted and his hair was blown backwards, he was so beautiful. I could understand by the look in his face that he was thinking about the past. And Gosh! he was so cute and i really understood what he meant. -I feel for you, Ed. And don't worry. I'm here.
