Nanami woke up to a bright light. She could feel a mattress underneath her telling her that she was on a bed. While her eyes were still trying to get used to the light she tried to remember what happened. Then the memory hit her like a truck.
Nanami died.
She suddenly got a flashback of her walking threw a death dungeon. Only pain and suffering where waiting for her there. She tried so hard to stay alive and meet her friends and teacher again. Once she found what she thought to be the exit was only the final blow. But, somehow in some miraculous miracle. She was alive.
Nanami was alive and breathing. She could feel her heart pound in her chest. She took a deep breath in threw her oxygen mask to find her lungs working perfectly. Moving her fingers was pretty hard but she still managed to lift her index finger up and down. A wave of calmness and hope filled her body as she let out a sigh of relief. The sound of the door opening filled the room.
Kamakura stood in front of Nanami covering the light in front of her. She could fee his body warmth from where he was standing. She moved her eyes to make contact with his. Kamakura's hands gently grabbed something in front of her face and pulled of her oxygen mask. Taking a deep breath felt better when the mask was off. When she turned her head towards Kamakura she noticed how many medical wires and tubes were on her body.
"You're probably wondering how I saved you." He says. Nanami gives a small smile and gently shakes her head.
"...No. As... long as I know... that I'm alive it doesn't matter how you saved me."
Nanami didn't even recognize her own voice for a minute. It was a raspy yet soft voice. Kamakura looked at her trying to open her head to see her thoughts. He gave out a sigh and walked away. Nanami was relieved that he just turned down the lighting and didn't walk away from her. He sat down on a chair next to her.
"Do you have any questions about what I did to you?"
"...No"
"You really are strange. Most people would be freaking out and wondering what happened to their bodies." Kamakura said looking at Nanami. Nanami smiled again.
She slowly and shakily moves her hand towards Kamakura's. She puts her hand over his. Kamakura looks at her waiting for her to say something.
"The reason I'm not asking is because I trust you. I trusted you in saving me." Kamakura let out a sigh.
"You really are an idiot for trusting someone you don't know." Nanami lets out a little laugh.
"Maybe I am."
